The REAL Bad Girls Club: Three of the Baddest Girls Around

You see it all the time. More importantly, you know this is the dreams that the paparrazi live for capturing and documenting for the world to see. Celebrities at their possible worst. What is it with this fascination of celebrities at their worst times and what is so appealing? In my eyes, they give an excellent example of the ills that power or fame can have on a person.

Paris Hilton

What happens when you have an over-bored, entirely-too-immature and spoiled heiress? You get Paris Hilton. The Party Girl of the year, if ever there was one. Everyone wishes that they could be so well off and taken care of that they can do anything at any time they desire. How many times in the last year have we heard about Paris being engaged or close-to engaged? More than we probably care to remember. Her behavior towards relationships shows a great lack of maturity in every way possible. Most recently it was reported that she was a little too friendly with "Mindfreak" Criss Angel in front of her boyfriend - only to be out without the boyfriend the next day. This behavior alone is enough to make you roll your eyes into the back of your head.

Back in September she was pulled over for Driving Under the Influence (aka: DUI) in Hollywood. She was driving erratically and was known to have failed the sobriety test. People almost seemed uneffected by this whole fiasco, not taking into consideration that she IS an idolized icon to girls everywhere (as scary as that can be to picture) and this behavior shows absolute negativity in every aspect. While she was of legal age at the time of the DUI, she obviously had no regard to human life as she may have driven on if nobody had noticed and ended up causing serious damage to either herself or someone innocent.

Paris didn't even seem phased by this misdemeanor and was released shortly after her arrest on her own recognizance. It was, at that time, scheduled for a court date at the end of September, however, it was only as of the last week they announced her court case and lack of her requirement to be there. They even stated that there could be a possibility of 90 days jail time, however, those with the money seem to be most apt at getting out of these situations. Of course, there was the excuse of being tired, not eating and who knows what else mentioned, but it was obvious from the videos they showed of Paris that she had had far more than one drink.

Who, also, can forget her later retracted claim of defending Britney Spears in the entire 'lack of underwear' photo shoot fiasco? At first it seemed she condoned Britney's behavior even stating that others do that kind of partying constantly. She later retracted it with the claim that another of her items, this time a myspace page, had been posted by a hoax pretending to be her.

Last but not least, let's remember the Nicole Richie cat fight that broke out causing their long-time friendship to pretty much cease from existance. Nobody really gave a care, as fights between friends are pretty common and happen all the time in the real world. Perhaps it was because of the appeal "The Simple Life" had starring these two rich girls trying out other peoples shoes for a period of time. This is like the drama you experience pre-teens going through. Not young adults in the limelight.

Lindsay Lohan

I have actually begun to feel horribly bad for Lindsay Lohan. She's been quite the target for the news in this last year. Who she was dating, who she broke up with, who was she NOW engaged to - the whole thing is enough to make your head spin. I'll leave out names and when because the amount of drama that encompasses that is enough to fill up ten pages.

There were, first, rumors of Lindsay having an eating disorder. She passed out and was hospitalized, being photographed as extremely thin - almost to the point of sickly thin. There were rumors of anorexia, bulemia among countless others that circulated especially on the internet. This also went along with her ever apparantly changing bust size - it appeared smallish at first and somehow ballooned suddenly. Some claimed the change was a result of a hidden eating disorder, but these rumors were debunked when they stated the only reason she was passing out was exhaustion.

While it wasn't too popular an article, there was one on the news stating Lindsay and her party-like ways were ultimately going to end up losing her an acting job. She was often times reported as showing up late and it came down to a point where it was, "start showing up or you're getting replaced." That whole buzz about her partying died out rather swiftly and nothing was ever mentioned again about her possible lack of a job.

Finally, her most recent news-worthy bit of gossip. Lindsay was finally confirmed to be going to AA meetings, however, at this same time there also were claims that she was not diagnosed as an alcoholic. However, she denied going out drinking publically due to legality of it, but never denied going to friends houses and drinking. It seemed only a mild shock when we first heard about this AA meeting, but it was almost unbelievable when she admitted she'd been going to these meetings since 19. This young lady is only 20 and seems to think that drinking at friends houses is legal in comparison to going out, however, if they ever find out who is guilty of serving an underage person alcohol - there is no doubt there'll be big trouble.

Nicole Richie

Finally, there's Nicole Richie. Remember her? Former best friend of heiress Paris Hilton and co-star of "A Simple Life". She's had quite a bit of action in her life that makes you scream, "enough already!" The news seems to have a field day with these kinds of actions instead of focusing on more important things.

Let's start with the main one: Her recent DUI charge. It was reported that she was driving down the wrong side of a Los Angeles Freeway - endangering her life and countless others - something you've heard about in other news stories with less happy endings. So it was that Nicole was pulled over for this stunt, being given the standard sobriety test and failing - leading to her arrest.

Now to add insult to injury, she ended up admitting to having smoked marijuana and being under the influence of the popular painkiller Vicodin. Considering her small stature, it is a very safe assumption to say that she was pretty strung out. There was a drug test given upon arrest, however there are, as of yet, no results to deny or confirm her substance abuse.

For those who have no idea what Ms. Richie looks like, she's a very petite young lady who doesn't even weigh 90 pounds. This thin state caused the rumors to fly about an eating disorder. If you look at her, you can completely understand why people think this of her. She is extremely thin. And I mean to the point she doesn't even look healthy - or young.

These socialite 'bad girls' are a bad influence and seem to be all the buzz in the media. They belong in a real Bad Girls Club and I'm not talking the tv reality show that is somewhat new to television. There's nothing funny or amusing about these girls and people need to realize that the more we pay attention to these antics, the more attention they're going to crave.
