The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 2: Episode 7 Recap

Play at Your Own Risk

What didn't happen on episode 7 of Bravo'sReal Housewives of New Jersey? That's the real question. Episode 7 featured Danielle and socialite friend Kim G. at a strip club honing their pole dancing skills, Ashley's boyfriend getting hazed by the Manzo men at the poker game, and a huge bombshell dropped.

Before delving any further into the story lines mentioned above, let's get to the bombshell dropped on episode 7...

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 2: Episode 7 Recap (Dina Manzo Says Goodbye)

Well, it's official, my favorite New Jersey Housewife has left the show, yep Dina Manzo has bid farewell to the Danielle drama once and for all. Best to you Dina and well wishes on your new jewelry collection. I will miss seeing Dina's fashions and calming force on the show.

Now, on with the other drama in episode 7.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 2: Episode 7 Recap (Danielle and Kim G. Go to the Strip Club)

Over the course of a few episodes now we've seen Danielle trying to get back into the dating spirit: buying new sexy dresses, trying to let go of past relationships, and calling on the power of female camaraderie; and who can claim female empowerment without some good ole fashioned pole tricks, right? Danielle, Kim G. and others in the clan trekked out to the local strip club and practiced their sexy moves for Danielle's happy on looking ex-con friends. As uncomfortable as this may be for some, I think it's even more humorous; I just don't know how many directions you have to pretzel your thinking to view stripping as empowering to females. Well, live and let live; if that's what she needs to do to be able to date then go for it, I just wish we could leave feminism out of it.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 2: Episode 7 Recap (Ashley's Boyfriend Meets the Fam)

Even though Ashley's boyfriend had met the family on several occasions, it seemed as though the Manzo men weren't going to accept him until he was initiated at the poker game. Ashley's brother and father took turns suggesting things they could do to the poor guy, some of which included, a spiked drink and collective punching every time he won a hand. The lad got off easy when Ashley and her mom Jacqueline got into a fight in the middle of the poker game; to be continued I guess.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 2: Episode 7 Recap (Rumors About Danielle's Sex Tape Emerge During Poker Game)

Just before the poker game officially got rolling Jacqueline had a word with Steve (Danielle's season one ex) about the sex tape scandal. When Jacqueline let Steve know she was disgusted by his secret taping of Danielle during sex, Steve proclaimed that the tapes were created by Danielle without his presence and were sent to him by Danielle.

Who knows what's actually true here, but I think it's safe to say that it will be the topic of lots of talk in Jersey over the remaining course of season 2.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 2: Episode 7 Recap (Next Week's Episode 8)

Don't forget to tune in to Bravo next Monday for episode eight of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Previews indicate that Jacqueline will soon regret ever confiding in Kim G. regarding Danielle and it looks like there is to be a confrontation about it on next week's episode.

The housewives of New Jersey should make sure they take Danielle's actions and words serious. It looks like it can become a serious situation of someone getting hurt when PLAYING with a person who is so unstable. I hope some of the actions of these women with children (and Danielle faith) are staged for TV
