The Real Housewives of Orange County: Tamra Barney

For all you fans of The Real Houswives of Orange County on Bravo TV network. You may have noticed a new face in the season just ended. Her name is Tamra Barney and she stepped in when twenty something Jo De La Rosa stepped out to move to Los Angeles to pursue a singing career...with Slade as her manager.

Tamra is a forty year old California girl through and through. Born and raised. She is from Glendora and was a stay at home mom for nearly 18 years before recently jumping into the real estate business a few years ago there in Orange County. She works for Ladera Realty in Irvine, CA which is about 20 miles from Coto De Caza. While trying to manage her career out of her house and at her own pace, Tamra hopes to have it all. A successful career and a happy home life.

At the suggestion of a friend, she responded to an ad in the newspaper and auditioned for "The Real Housewives of Orange County," along with dozens of others.

She has been married for 13 years to Simon Barney, a sales consultant for Fletcher Jones Motorcars in Newport Beach. Together, they have 3 children. 8 year old Sidney. Seven year old Spencer who is in cubscouts and can't wait to go on father and son campouts. And Sophia, who is 2. They are working on getting her potty trained for preschool this year.

Tamra also has a 21 year old son from a previous marriage. Ryan recently moved back home after being on his own for 3 years. He and Simon have a rocky relationship. After seeing himself on TV, Ryan did re-evaluate his life. He works at Fletcher Jones and has a second job on Sundays. He also has a new girl in his life that makes him very happy.

On top of having 4 kids, Tamra and her family have also aquired a new pet. Bella-Bo is a Malti-poo.

Tamra and Simon try to get out once a month with friends or by themselves for a quiet dinner. She believes it is important for a married couple to have time alone and away from the kids. After getting caught up with kids, work and day to day activities they need to reconnect.

Tamra will tell you herself that she is a "botoxaholic". Quoted straight from the Bravo website. She loves botox and calls it the miracle injection that will take years off your face.
