The Real Meaning of Christmas

Jean Davis
It seems Christmas comes much earlier each year.
Before Halloween is over signs of Christmas begin to appear.
Somewhere, sandwiched in between,Thanksgiving is on the calendar
but it is very brief on the scene.
As soon as the food is off the table the search is on for the Christmas lights.
By the very next day the tree is up and all the lights burning bright.
Then the hustle and bustle of shopping begins.
Nerves getting frazzled and patience wearing thin.
Retailers keeping close watch on their sales.
What they do now can balance the scales.
Choosing the perfect gift for each person on the list can get to be such a chore.
Why don't you stop for a moment and realize that Christmas should mean much more.
Over the years seems the real meaning of Christmas is forgotten amidst all
the clamour and din.
Originally, Christians adopted Christmas to celebrate the birth of a KIng.
We need to celebrate His birth every day of the year.
Let us surely remember the Babe in a manger that Mary held so dear.
He grew up and gave HIs life that we may believe and be made free.
Jesus Christ. Savior of the world. Gave His life for you and me
