The Real Reason for Tightened Airline Security

The official reason the U.S. has raised the terror alert level to orange is because of a foiled terrorism plot in Britain. While true, the facts behind the plot have been distorted because the government does not believe the public can handle the truth. Don't think these the ramblings of a conspiracy theorist. The real story is close to the official reasons, but far more frightening.

Why liquids and gels? The British and U.S. governments say that terrorist were planning to smuggle benign ingredients, in common containers, that when combined in flight, create explosives. The safest course of action was to ban all liquids from carry-on luggage.

There was never an explosive component to this plot. What the government has not disclosed to the public is that hundreds of dehydrated snakes were found with the terrorist in Britain. The real plot involved smuggling on dehydrated snakes and reconstituting them in flight.

One can only imagine what havoc would be caused by snakes set loose on a plane. It took more than 5 years for movies about the World Trade Center and United Flight 93 to be released, but Hollywood had leaked, insider information about this latest plot. The movie about what might have happen is being released this week. Samuel L. Jackson has taken time out from working a corner in West Hollywood, to whore himself out to this latest docu-drama.

It is unknown at this time why the government felt compelled to lie to us. One can only theorize that the public is comfortable with explosions. Things blow up all the time: fireworks, mines, cars, mother-in-laws. But snakes create a deeper level of fear in the human psyche. Irregardless of the fact that most snakes are non-venomous, timid creatures that would rather hide than face a human, the average person list "fear of snakes" in their top 3 greatest fears (just below public speaking and showing up naked at school for a test).

Foil hats off to the British and U.S. governments for preventing this evil terrorist plot, but give the public some credit to handle the truth. No matter how frightening, only the facts are acceptable. Having the facts and facing our fears is what will ultimately win the war on terror. Whether that fear stems from shampoo or snakes on a plane, we must face it together as a nation.
