The Real Roswell Crashed-Saucer Coverup by Philip J. Klass

Nora Nick
He can say things like all people who were involved in the coverup of Roswell have disappeared. And, yet, he can say things like: "The CIA's Once-Secret UFO Papers" and for all we know, he is still out there writing, writing. We demand to know why some can get away with telling the same um secrets while others are made to vanish.

Many of us have seen made for cable specials recounting the events of the supposed balloon turned ufo in Roswell. How many of us know that the government used those crashed aliens to develop computers and fighter jets and psychic telemetry and mental telepathy?

Are you interested in any of these areas of common pulp magazines stories? Then, you should start with Philip Klass, read everything he wrote, and wonder out loud, how does he know if every one involved in the cover up was made to vanish? Does it sound like I am just a little bit frustrated with all these secrets? What would make you think so,kind reader? I intend to lead you into the secret world of Roswell as seen through the eyes of Philip Klass.

As if to test his secret charm making him invincible to vanishing, he begins his introduction with an, now get this, anonymous quote, "Beware the clever charlatan who can make an outright falsehood seem like a plausible truth." Being a little bit Greek myself, I recall those glorious days of Beware Greeks Bearing Gifts. And such is the type of book that probably netted Philip Klass a bit of spare change.

Further testing his charm on protecting himself from being made to face the same fate those victims of falsehoods were made to face, he tags his tail behind a real book really written three years after the Unidentified Flying Balloon was reported on June 24, 1947, by pilot Kenneth Arnold. The book was written by a Hollywood columnist working for Variety (and, to further test our frustration level makes claim that Variety was known as the Bible of show business, therefore who can doubt its writers! The book that Philip Klass is joining ranks with is Behind the Fying Saucers which became a bestseller. I, too, am envious. According to Philip Klass, Kenneth Arnold had a source named Dr. Gee who worked for the government and a Colorado businessman named Silas M. Newton.

The book is full of interesting news like the fact that Rancher Brazel who had to pick up the balloon pieces died in 1963. Why didn't he disappear before then?

Most of us are looking up into the night sky and dreaming of escaping from planet Earth. Soon enough all of us will leave but I doubt if any of us will leave permanently in a space saucer. What I see in this book is a hoax of mental projection. The hoax is not governmental but departmental. Someone, somewhere wanted to frighten a lot of Americans with visitors from outer space. Those chosen to perpetuate the chicanery and subvert the mental processes of an entire country and maybe even the world were carefully chosen mentalists like Philip Klass. Why, I bet that if one had met the author in person and spent any time at all with him, parting would go like this,

You would find yourself on a bus to nowhere, vivid images of a past life would appear before you in vivid colors and you would spend the rest of your life feeling lost and confused about a past life regression experience.
When you read this book be careful who you invite, some visitors eventually get even.
