The Reason for the Easter Season

So many celebrate this day with eggs, grass, and candy
Completely forgetting the original reason for this day.
He has been tossed out of schools and forget by so many,
Yet He still loves us and accepts just as we are today.

We hide the Bible, don't read it, or even speak about it,
Even though it can brings a grown man to his knee.
Sitting on a shelf collecting dust, not even opened to read
And forgetting it contains the words to set us free.

Let us take a moment this Easter and open our hearts
To the One who for us willing gave up His own life
Hanging there on that cross, bleeding about to die
He took upon all your pain, suffering, and strife.
