The Reason for the Season: The Christmas Holiday

Recently, retailers have moved away from using the Season Greeting "Merry Christmas." My understanding is that the reason for this is because they do not want to offend those individuals who do not observe the reason for the season.

I wish to state, "What is the reason for the season?" Over two thousand years ago, our Lord and Savior was born. He came to this earth to save us from the grip of Satan. He came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. We celebrate the Season for one reason: because He, Christ Jesus, was born.

In Bethlehem, the Baby Jesus was born. The angel appeared unto Joseph and foretold His birth. Joseph was assured of the pure nature in which Mary conceived. Joseph was told to call the child, Jesus. The angel appeared to the wise men and foretold His birth. The wise men traveled far to see the Baby Jesus and bring gifts to Him in honor of Him.

We celebrate Christmas for one reason and one reason only, in honor of Our Saviors Birth. Without Jesus, there would be no Christmas. Without Jesus, there would be no meaning to this season. Without Jesus, we would not live.

He came to Earth to take upon Himself the sins of this world. Because in this world, there is only sin. We are born into a sinful place. Earth is sinful. Man cannot leave from this earth in this body. The body and the flesh are in total contradiction to the will of our Father.

He came to Earth so we would have a way to enter into the Kingdom. He gave his life to save us from our sins. In an of ourselves, we cannot meet the Father, but, because He loves us so much, He in his pure and clean nature can and did give His life for us.

A s a Christian and as a person who is In Love with God, I encourage all Christians to not accept the minimizing of our Savior. I encourage us all to make retailers understand that in their desire to not offend others, they are offending us; The Christians who love God. We stand for something and what we demand is that if they are going to offend anyone, it should be the ones who disregard and do not accept the Lord God as their Savior.

This Christmas, make sure you state your demand to place Jesus back in the season. Act within a manner based on the Lord's will. Let everyone know that you love God and you will not sit down and accept the denial of our Lord and Savior.
