The Reasons to Call for Emergency Help

When to Call for 911 Emergency

Kid-Romeo
When we get sick we usually call 911 if it's very fatal. Calling 911 brings an ambulance to your house to pick you or the injured victim up. If you don't call 911 and you drive to the emergency room you'll have to wait for hours at the emergency room until you see a doctor. If you use 911 the ambulance will take you right to the emergency doctor with no wait at all. Sometimes we don't know when to call 911 which can be good or bad. Some people contemplate when to call, if they should call, and if they shouldn't which can lead to death or sometimes nothing happens. In this article I will discuss the reasons to call for emergency help and what to do while you're waiting.

When my grandma had a low heart rate we didn't hesitate to call 911 we did it right away. When your heart is involved it's a definite reason to call for emergency help. The first reason is a heart related problem. The heart is the life force of our body and if it stops we die. If your heart as with my grandma's heart rate goes low you should call for help right away. If you experience any chest pains, short breath, blackouts, high or low blood pressure, and so on call 911 for help. When it's your heart do not wait a second to get help because every minute counts. While you're waiting for help take some cayenne pepper or aspirin they are both effective in stopping a heart attack.

The next reason to call for emergency help is if you're poisoned. If your poisoned you can usually call the poison control center that is listed on most household chemical bottle labels. They will usually help you to try and fix the poison problem. If they cannot help or your getting more sick call for emergency help right away. Do not try to vomit if unnecessary this can upset your stomach.

The next reason to call for emergency help is for intense pain or bleeding. If you have a bad cut but the bleeding has stopped you should still get emergency help. The cut may be stopped but could start again if you don't get stitches to sew it up. If you're in a lot of pain try to stay calm and a cool or warm cloth should be applied to the infected area until helps arrive. Try not to move at all or if someone is with you let them keep you to lie down in a firm position.

The next reason to call for emergency help is for choking. If someone is choking try to give them water and knock there back. Choking can cause someone to lose their breath and become unconscious. If the person does become unconscious use CPR and call for help fast.

The next reason to call for emergency help is for a stroke. If someone gets stroke symptoms like a seizure, muscle loss, weakness, blackouts, dizziness, and headaches call for emergency help right away. A stroke is usually caused by cerebral artery blockage which affects your brain to interact with your body. A stroke is very serious and should be looked into right away just like any heart problems.

The next reason to call for emergency help is for burns. If someone is burnt no matter what part of their body get help right away. A burn can severely damage you and even lead to death. If you're burned cover the burned area with a clean cloth to keep infections away until help arrives. A burned person will be in intense pain so try to keep them calm as best as possible.

The next reason to call for emergency help is if you have an allergic reaction. Some allergic reactions can cause severe and minor problems. Allergic reactions can come from medications, foods, drinks, flowers, or insect bites. If it's a medical reaction bring the medication with you to the emergency room. This will give the doctor an idea of what is wrong with you. For allergic reactions Benadryl is good for an anti-effect.

The final reason to call for medical help is for a gunshot or stab wound. A gunshot wound can be deadly depending on where you're hit and the loss of blood. If you get help in time the bullet may be removed and your life can be saved. With a stab wound don't try to pull out the knife this can be to painful. For both a bullet wound and stab wound try to stop the bleeding by applying pressure to the wound. Pressure will control the bleeding until help arrives and can save the life.

There are many other reasons to call for emergency help. These steps can be helpful to help save you, a friend, or family member's life. As with all these reasons while you're waiting for help let the people know that help is on the way. This way they will help them stay calm and not panic. You want the injured person to be able to stay calm so that they won't panic which could cause them to die. If you're going to call for emergency help make sure it's a last resort and there is no other alternative.
