The Reasons for Cheating

Men and women are very different. Not just in their bodies but their minds and emotions as well. Let's go through some of these differences.

Men are testosterone driven humans. We always have been. The amount of men who will refuse sex is much less than in women. Women are emotionally driven humans. They like romance, they like to cuddle. Ladies, do an experiment. The next time your man is upset, try to get him to have sex with you. Unless he's mourning the death of a loved one, he'll likely be up for it and he'll calm right down. Guys, the next time your lady is upset, just offer to hold her, stroke her hair and gently kiss her forehead or cheek. She'll calm right down. Now this doesn't always work. Especially if your man or lady is upset with YOU.

Whether it's a man or woman, in most cases, (not all) the reasons for cheating are because of a lack of some sort of satisfaction. A woman is more likely to cheat if her emotional needs aren't being met by her man. A man is more likely to cheat if his sexual needs aren't being met by his lady. Yeah, I know, "men are pigs" but I speak the truth. Here's a couple scenarios that are not far fetched at all.

Susan has been married for 11 years. Her husband loves her but he takes her for granted. He doesn't notice the little things like her new hair color or style. He doesn't hold her anymore before he goes to sleep. When they have sex, afterwards, he just rolls over and goes to sleep. He USED to hold her for a half hour or so before drifting off. There's a guy Susan works with. His name is Gerald but everyone calls him Jerry. Jerry's no Keith Urban but he's not really bad looking. He's sweet to Susan. Jerry opens doors for Susan. He walks around and gives Hershey's kisses to all the ladies once a week and always tells Susan that "all pretty ladies love chocolate". Susan changed her hair style recently and Jerry told her that her new style looks pretty. Jerry's not an animal. Jerry is just a sweet gentleman. Susan begins to think to herself, "I wish my husband was more like Jerry". Now if Jerry is the kind of guy to make a move on Susan, after a few months of this type of behavior, she will be less likely to stop him. When a woman is emotionally neglected at home, the chances of her cheating on her man us much greater if another man is emotionally attentive to her. Something like this is one of the reasons for cheating in women.

Bob has been married to Carol for 9 years. They used to have a great sex life. They had each other climbing the walls 3 - 5 nights a week. Lately she's just not up for it. Bob tries to start something and Carol shoots him down. Bob has tried to talk to her about this and Carol just doesn't want to talk about it. Months go by and Bob and Carol haven't had sex. And the thing that bothers Bob most is that Carol can see how this affects him but she doesn't act like she really cares. Carol's not on any medications that can lower sex drive, she's just not in the mood and she's too embarrassed to talk to her doctor about it. Bob is working out of town one night. He's a pretty decent guy. Bob's not the type to go looking for a one night stand. Whenever a lady comes up to him and starts talking a bit of game, he says something like, "those are nice earrings. My wife has a pair just like that". In case she didn't see Bob's wedding ring, the other woman gets the message that Bob is married. That usually works but not this time. Bob's in a town where no one knows him or Carol and there is no way Carol would ever find out. This woman knows Bob's married but doesn't care. She makes a move and Bob's hotel is right across the street. By now Bob ends up taking this woman back to his hotel room. This is one of the main reasons for cheating by men.

So guys, don't turn off the romance and affection when the new wears off. Ladies, you don't have to be his little whore but most men like it when you instigate sex and most men are happy with sex one to three times a week. If you avoid situations like the ones described in this article, your man or woman will have far less reasons for cheating on you.

The bottom line ladies, your man will have less reasons to be cheating on you if he's sexually satisfied at home. And guys, your lady will have less reasons to be cheating on you if you keep up the romance, be a gentleman, concentrate on making her feel appreciated, special, and loved. Good luck. Both of you.
