She appeared in a ray of light;
Glowing like the morning sun;
Her compassionate eyes;
Made you feel welcome;
Her heart surrounded;
By a garland of roses;
As she passed through;
The parted clouds;
She smiled gently;
Her voice was as light as the wind;
And it sounded like angel music;
You were captivated;
And you could not look away;
She was so beautiful;
You wanted to be near her;
And your heart was aware;
That she loved you too;
For a mothers love lasts forever;
She took you by the hand;
And you felt like a child again;
"Come with me." She said gently;
"There is someone who is longing to see you."
You let her lead you on;
This lovely red rose of Heaven;
Your heart danced in celebration;
You knew where you were going;
The painful life that you left;
Was no longer chained to you;
As you followed your Mother;
To your real home
Glowing like the morning sun;
Her compassionate eyes;
Made you feel welcome;
Her heart surrounded;
By a garland of roses;
As she passed through;
The parted clouds;
She smiled gently;
Her voice was as light as the wind;
And it sounded like angel music;
You were captivated;
And you could not look away;
She was so beautiful;
You wanted to be near her;
And your heart was aware;
That she loved you too;
For a mothers love lasts forever;
She took you by the hand;
And you felt like a child again;
"Come with me." She said gently;
"There is someone who is longing to see you."
You let her lead you on;
This lovely red rose of Heaven;
Your heart danced in celebration;
You knew where you were going;
The painful life that you left;
Was no longer chained to you;
As you followed your Mother;
To your real home
Dear readers, this poem is based on a vision that I had at the exact moment that my mother passed away. It has been five years, and I still remember it very clearly. It has brought me much comfort.
