The Redhead Piano Bar Hosts a Silver Lining Foundation's Cabaret for a Cause

CHICAGO (April 13, 2010) -Join a celebration of music and health 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12 when The Redhead Piano Bar (16 W. Ontario St., Chicago; 312-640-1000) hosts Cabaret for a Cause to benefit breast cancer advocacy organization, A Silver Lining Foundation(ASLF).

Enjoy libations from The Redhead Piano Bar, tasty treats from Cork Catering and a special performance by Chicago's entertainer, Ron Hawking. Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased at the door or in advance at www.asilverliningfoundation.org. The ticket price includes open bar and appetizers from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 100 percent of the proceeds support ASLF's Buy A Mom A Mammogram™ program, which provides no cost screening mammograms and diagnostic follow up testing for uninsured and underinsured patients.

About A Silver Lining Foundation

Since the Buy A Mom A Mammogram program's inception in 2006, ASLF has provided more than 2,500 women with information about and access to no cost screening mammograms. In response to the growing number of women needing follow up due to a possible abnormality, the foundation began funding diagnostic testing in 2007. Since its launch in 2002, ASLF has provided more than 450,000 people with information about cancer resources, treatment options and support services. Through the organization's programs, services and personal support, the foundation strives to provide opportunities for medically underserved people affected by cancer.
