The Relevance of Intelligence

Joshua Levitt
Because of all my flaws
I am nowhere near perfection
But learning from my mistakes
Is a step in the right direction

My ignorance is contagious
When I hide behind my intelligence
What's the point of knowledge
If it doesn't hold the relevance

To what we see as important
It's nothing more than a facade
Masking the significance of our existence
As a memory that's replayed

Made to think a continuation
Will lead us to eternity
When no one even knows
If there's an end in infinity

And empathy is natural
That's why the owl's wise
But wisdom is forgotten
The day that owl dies
