The Republican Version of Healthcare Reform

Republican Party Supporters Will Be Sold Out Again

John Griffin
As the approval ratings of the Democratic controlled Congress and the President continue to plummet, the speculation of big Republican gains in both the House and the Senate have given Republican Party supporters a false sense of security especially on healthcare reform.

This false sense of security stems from the idea that if the Republicans gain control of Congress once again we will be delivered from the evil which is the Democratic Party lead by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. How quickly we forget. The size of the federal government tripled under a Republican administration and congress.

The Republican Party leadership; the same leadership so-called Conservatives are hoping regain power, spent taxpayer dollars at a rate unparallel at that time. Regarding healthcare reform, the only way to truly reform it is to get the government out of healthcare completely.

The patient/doctor relationship has to be restored to fix healthcare. Most of the problems with the healthcare system stem from continual regulation from government.

This so-called Conservative Republican leadership in Washington is simply pulling the wool over the eyes of its supporters once again. True Conservatives demand adherence to the U.S. Constitution without exception. True Conservatives want the United States of America the founders of this country envisioned for us. Where in our Constitution does it state that one of the functions of the federal government is to provide healthcare. If we really had Conservatives in the Republican Party this would be their message to the American taxpayer.

Here is the scenario if the Republicans gain control of Congress in 2010 regardless if healthcare reform is passed or not. Nothing will change!! If a healthcare reform bill is passednothing in the bill will be repealed, and no responsibility will be taken by the Republican Party. The Republicans will simply blame the Democrats for adopting socialized medicine, but will do absolutely nothing to change it. Why do I make such an accusation? Because both sides have proven there is very little difference between them, in fact the Republican Party in some cases are more dangerous than the Democrats because they have mouthpieces like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck, Fox News and the like to keep the Republican Party supporters in line.

Unfortunately, Republican Party supporters we are going to get some form of healthcare reform. And make no mistake, it will be filled with more government controls and regulations. In reality, the government doesn't need to "take over" healthcare like Reid and Pelosi want. As we have discovered lately, these clown don't read the bills anyway. All the federal government has to do is include whatever they want inside another monstrous bill. Since none of our representatives read the bills they vote on, the Congress can do virtually anything it wants. The worst part is they have recently proven they will do just that; remember the stimulus bill?
