Joe Wilson and Other Members of Congress Should Resign for Deceiving the American People
During President Barack Obama's address to both houses of the Congress on September 9, 2009, Congressman Joe Wilson interrupted the President by standing out from his seat and yelling, "You lie".
President Obama at the time was specifically speaking about provisions in the healthcare reform bill that prohibits any payments for undocumented aliens.
Below is said section of said bill:
H.R. 3200: Sec 246 - NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.
Representative Joe Wilson's outburst is clear evidence that he is deceiving the American taxpayer. He is knowingly misinformation and manipulating the American people. He has used position in government to negatively effect a public discussion.
Representative Joe Wilson has taken an oath for his position in government, his Constitutional Oath.
The Constitutional Oath is as followed:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
Representative Joe Wilson has not well and faithfully discharged the duties of his office.
All other Republican members of Congress are accused of the same failure to fulfill the duties of their respective offices.

Post a CommentDemocrats often had similar outburst when GWB was speaking but that was often applauded by the media and no apologies were ever made for it. The plan is not to give health care to illegals but to legalize the illegal immigrants. Obama has spoke in support of legalizing everyone illegal that is in America. Therefore both sides would be correct, depending on your point of view.

Joe Wilson is a disgrace to the American people. He needs to resign because his outburst was unprofessional and shameful. Behavior like that shouldn't be tolerate. Personally, I don't care if he agrees or disagree with Obama, Joe Wilson disrespected the President of the USA and for that reason he needs to resign asap.
