The Return of the Living Dead (1985) 4 Word Revew

The Return of the Living Dead(1985) is a classic sequel to Night of the Living Dead from author John Russo's book of the same name. It's a horror movie that does the impossible by being scary and funny often at the same time. Two medical supply flunkies accidentally open government canisters containing dead bodies reported to be zombies. The canister releases a toxic gas that raises the dead. Then shit goes crazy. Goes great with The Return of the Living Dead Drinking Game.

Words: Party, Trash, 80s, Brains!

-Party: A group of teenagers just want to party. I'm not sure what party they're going to because they are all from different social groups. Mods, punks, goths, new wavers, and preps all hanging out in a cemetery waiting for a friend to get off work.
-Trash: Best actress in the film and boy does she know how to party. It's also the first "goth zombie" I've ever seen.
-80s: This movie is so 80s it hurts, but in a good way. It's a fun film that would be watched in the company of friends and enjoyed.
-Brains!: These zombies want brains to stop the pain of being alive. That's so cool. Also these zombies can't be killed. Oh shit!

Awesomeness Rating: 10/10 for making me laugh and then scaring all in the same scene. I hope future historians think this is how the mid-80s really were.
