The Reupublican Party Needs a Playpen, Health Care is the Hotbutton Issue
The Republican Party is in Major Trouble. Health Care Reform is a Must
So, as we all watch President Obama push his health care initiative we see all of the wing nuts of the world coming out of the wood work. First off, Health care should not be an economic issue, It is simply a Moral issue. That is the main problem with our country. The top 1 percent (Based on income and power) make way too much money off from corporations. One of the biggest money makers being privately ran health care. So, being the selfish tyrants that they are they want to keep the government out of the health care industry. Why?, you may ask, It is very simple. If the government has their own health care plan for citizens it will be much cheaper for the citizens to be covered. Thus, Making the top 1 percent scared that it will take away some of their profit margin. The question I am asking my fellow Americans is simply this. Do you think it is morally right to deny anyone health care based solely on their income? Take this into consideration, Say you have a child or grandchild that is in their 20's and they have a bad disease such as diabetes. Now, Lets say that you are an average working class person just trying to make ends meet, Lucky to make 20,000 dollars a year. You can not afford health care coverage because you simply do not make enough money to cover living expenses and purchase a health care plan, Then even if you squeeze that by you can not afford the premiums. So, Back to the moral part of my question. Should your child or grandchild be denied coverage and be allowed to just get sicker and sicker until they eventually die? My guess is you are thinking "Hell no". Well, that is the current system we have in this country. If you have no money then you have no care and are basically thrown aside like a piece of garbage. If you really want to make a change then stop buckling to the top 1 percent. You are simply taking money away from yourself and giving it to the people who do not need any more money.
Do not allow yourself to be fooled by the Republican party. I am sorry but this is a Republican party problem. Every day you see something new. First it was "Death Panels", Now they are wanting to completely rewrite the bill to try and suit their needs. They say that they are for health care reform, but then when the time comes they also say they will not vote for it because they will not vote for a public option, or a single payer system. For those of you who may not understand this, The public option would allow everyone to join a large pool and receive the same health care as our government officials. The more people that join this pool, the cheaper the cost. The single payer option is the way I personally think we should go, That is when the government basically covers all health care cost period. That is truly universal health care, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Australia and Britain already have this system. The republicans do not want this or the public option and can you guess why? Because much of their campaign contributions are donated to them by private health care corporations. Makes sense right, They are basically bought off by the top 1 percent to keep things the way it is.
This is how desperate the republican party has become. They have bussed people that work for these private insurance companies into Democratic town hall meetings to discuss the Health Care bill that President Obama is putting forth. With the sole purpose to disrupt the meetings so that you, the American citizen can not learn about the truth about the bill. These people scream and yell like A 2 year old and they want you to simply believe their hostility and lies. They act passionate about it but the only thing they are truly passionate about is who is giving them that big bonus at the end of the year.
In closing, we have to pull our collective thoughts together on this one and get this thing passed. I think it should be single payer but it seems like the Republicans have already killed that with their whining. So Public option is the next best thing to a single payer system. We must know the truth about this and decide. First choice is to decide if health care is an economic issue, or an American right. You decide for yourselves, but if you think it is an economic issue, Then I am betting you are a Republican with a big poster of Sarah I quit my job" Palin on their wall, and Probably a member of the NRA. Thank you for reading and please, Make a smart decision for our future.
