The Review of the HP Mini 2140

A college student that is looking for a low-factor or less pricing notebook would have a good choice of purchasing the newly introduced HP Mini 2140. The HP Company has make it possible for less than five hundred dollars a procurer could purchase a notebook. The HP Mini 2140 is equipped with a lot of features, which includes a Genuine Windows XP, Intel Atom N270 Processor 1.60 GHz, 10.1 inch diagonal screen and many more. All this benefit are all given away for a token amount of money. In my own opinion would say it is a plus on the part of the HP Company.

The design of the device is quite fascinating. The HP Mini 2140 notebook is equipped with a brushed aluminum and plastic housing. One of the benefit or advantage of this housing is that it hides a procurer's fingerprints.

The HP Mini 2140, like last year's Mini-note 2133, has a great design. Everyone in our office agrees that this ultra-mobile laptop has a solid chassis and attractive look. The brushed aluminum and plastic casing is durable and hides fingerprints well. The device is equipped with a dimension of 1.05 x 10.3 x 6.5 inches and also has a weight of 2.93 lb, which is very light to handle.

The HP Company equipped the Mini 2140 with a screen of 10.1 inch that has a resolution of 1024x576 pixels. But when it is compared with the Mini 2133 notebook, one would find out that the Mini 2140 notebook is a little bit backward. This is because the Mini 2133 has a screen that is equipped with a resolution of 1280x768 pixels, which is quite better than the Mini 2140 notebook. The screen equipped in the Mini 2140 notebook is made for a view of an individual and better called personal view. Bright colors and good contrast are some the benefit of the screen equipped in the device.

The Keyboard featured in the Mini 2140 is quite impressive. In the sense that there is no degree of flex and the keys of the device is also equipped with a silver HP DuraKeys finish that makes it possible for a procurer's fingerprint or dirt not to have any effect of the keyboard.

Due to the size of the keys featured in the device, a procurer with large fingers would find it difficult to type comfortable on.

The front side of the Mini 2140 notebook features the drive status light, Wi-Fi on/off switch and power switch while the back side of the device is equipped with the battery. The heat vent, USB 2.0 port, microphone in, headphone out and the VGA out are situated on the life side of the Mini 2140 notebook while the right side view reveals the SD card reader, Ethernet, power connector, ExpressCard/54/54 slot and more.

The type and the grade of the processor of a notebook determines the speed or rate the system could work. The device is equipped with a Intel Atom N270 Processor 1.60 GHz, which is quite good for a device of such magnitude.

A 3-cell battery is used to supply power to the Mini 2140 notebook manufactured by the HP Company. When a load of applications are in used the battery is able to stay for about 141 minutes.
