The Review of the Sony Alpha 100

Frank dave
The Sony Company has been dynamically concerned in digital camera for years and can be considered as a digital initiator. In recent times though, there was no digital SLR camera in their vast variety of digital cameras. This review is going to be base of the newly introduced Sony Alpha 100.

Design of the Sony Alpha 100

Observing the first glance of the camera, the Sony Alpha 100 digital reflex camera bears a clear similarity to the DiMAGE 5D. This camera is more smoothed and therefore looks more contemporary and eye-catching. The orange border on this camera makes it appears real good and attractive. The Sony A-100 has the essential buttons that mean a procurer does not have to refer to the menu frequently. Assessing the focus is very easy and understandable, due to the big 2.5 inch monitor on the rear of the Sony Alpha 100 digital camera.

Super Steady Shot of the Sony Alpha 100

Luckily, the Company has maintained the image stabilization in the A-100. It is now known as the Super Steady Shot, instead of Anti Shake, a name that the Sony Company uses for every form of image stabilization and not just for the moving feeler. A gyroscope detects the A-100's movements and a processor prompts the sensor to make a contradict movement. Accordingly, the manipulation of the camera's vibrations is significantly abridged, at least to a considerable level. The Sony Company modernized the algorithm and maintains more than three steps EV. This will be inadequate at every focal point. The weakness of a moving sensor as divergent to image stabilization in a lens is that the former cannot be optimally adjusted to all focal points.

Settings of the Sony Alpha 100
Looking at the above view of the camera, a lot of buttons comes into play. To the extreme right the most vital settings are positioned around the mode switch. You must set the mode dial at the correct setting and a user can adjust settings by holding in the mode control. A built-in flash that a user needs to fold out manually is on top of the prism. The diverse exposure programs are selected with the command dial to the right of the flash. There is an aperture and shutter precedence and manual setting, which is an addition to the obligatory icon. To arrange the speed of the continuous mode and the self timer is to the right of this is the switch. On top of the hand grip with the only mode dial on the camera is the shutter release button that adequately positioned.

LCD Monitor of the Sony Alpha 100

The rear of this camera is occupied by the large 2.5 inch monitor. This is a high quality LCD display, even though the portraits appear just a bit too soaked. There is a viewfinder with the dioptre setting behind the rubber, which is located on top of the screen. Under the viewfinder there are two black surfaces that detect if a procurer placed or positioned the Sony Alpha 100 at the front. These sensors notice if anything is placed or situated in front of the viewfinder. The optical viewfinder is somewhat benefit to the photographer; it's pleasant, apparent and adequately organize. Sufficient information is given on the viewfinder, including the how usefulness of the Super Steady Shot is.

Memory Card of the Sony Alpha 100

Until the card full a user can be taking shots in JPEG format, with RAW the buffer, it is limited to six portraits according to the specifications. According to the Company specification this is attainable if a quicker card is used. Jointly with the sensor, the processor is the most significant feature in determining the speed and quality of the Alpha 100.

JPEG and RAW format of the Sony Alpha 100
The Sony Alpha 100 can take shots in both RAW and JPEG that is common among mostly introduced digital reflex camera in the market recently. It can now do this at the same time. The Raw format is now called the Alpha Raw. The Adobe RAW Converter in Photoshop can read the raw images unswervingly, which I consider one main advantage. The JPEG files are of such a good quality that a user does not frequently have to turn to using a RAW picture. I think the RAW is of great advantage to a novice photographer, because if a user set the white balance incorrectly, it comes into play.

Storage and Energy of the Sony Alpha 100
The camera is also appropriate for Compact-Flash, but Sony are well known for using memory stick in their digital camera product. The Memory Stick (PRO) Duo can be placed in an adapter supplied by the Sony Company. A micro-drive format is possessed by the adapter. The Sony Alpha 100 uses a Lithium Ion battery, which I would say that the Sony Company is less idiosyncratic when it comes to the energy providing.

Get your Sony Alpha 100, which I consider a digital camera with the difference.
