The Rich Beggar

Dauda as he is popular called is a shabby but handsome young beggar that does his business in the capital city of Kano. Like any other beggar, he tours round the major streets and roads begging for alms. Something so amazing about him is that he has partners of the same trait who always play his role even when he is not around.

People will always rate him high for his smart and scrupulous dealings with his donors. Amongst his attributes is his gentle and well articulated speech that would convince more than an average man to attend to him. In the same vein, his costumes and styles are like that of the naturally fashioned attired by a prestigious artist.

Dauda is talented with numerous gifts like composing of meaningful and inspirational song that thrills the minds of passersby. He interprets sounds, bit drums with his deformed arms and plays the flute simultaneously.

With his qualities, he entertains people day after day especially during the weekends. My little nice even took him as her role model and favourite because of his lyrics. To the best of my experience, I would conclude that he is genuine in his business. I must tell you that this man is rich just from the money he makes on daily basis. At least for you to share in his riddles and jokes, one has to pay a token fee of N20 (Twenty Naira) let alone his trilling musical stories.

People of whom most were inmates numbering from fifty and above do pay regular visit to his close located at the strategic point in the heart of Kano just to get funs from him. Dauda is a good friend to many that he had advanced in his begging career. At least with the aid of his rich supporters, the smart guy now ride on a brown new Toyota Camry and had set up an entertainment arena like that of the national park. As though it were enough, he has identified with the entertainment industry and has gained popularity through it.

Now people from far and near no more call him a beggar but rather an entertainer. Most people hire him as the Master of Ceremony (MC) during celebrations. Dauda Naija as he is newly called is somebody who from the little he had renders services based on his destiny and talents. I recommend that people especially the restive minds should start up doing something positively and carefully in what good they offer. You never knew a beggar would turn rich except you heard from my story how it all happened.
