Dean is right...the right does indeed want things in this nation to be run very, very differently from how it has been run of late. Leave it to a progressive to find strict adherence to our Founding Document to be somehow "threatening." Dean believes the right today is as bad as the left when he was growing up, "burning down buildings," etc. And he made sure to not miss a chance to call Fox News liars too so he hit all the proper talking points
Progressives like Dean believe cutting government is threatening to their power, thus threatening to the nation. In fairness to the good doctor he earns an "A" for effort. But what grade does his statement earn when we examine the non-partisan truth? By non-partisan truth I mean truth that transcends ideology. Can anyone of any political persuasion explain how following the guidebook for operating this nation is "threatening?" It is "the law of the land" after all. Progressives don't like it because it prevents much of their ideological agenda, but how is it actually threatening to the nation? Strict construction, small government and complete lack of egg-headed supra-nationalism are threats to only one thing...left wing ideology.
Dr. Dean uses Hillary's "vast right wing conspiracy" comment from more than a dozen years ago to illustrate his point when he gets to attacking the Tea Party. Dean incorporates Hillary's defense of splooge stained dresses in saying "it's not a conspiracy when you do things in the open...it's not a conspiracy." Kudos to the nut doctor for acknowledging the right openly admits what we wish for. I take it Dr. Dean does not find honesty refreshing.
Dean opened his rant with the "Tea Party is a shrinking minority." That's pure hopeful left wing talking points. Dean then ties his wishful "shrinking" Tea Party to conservatives "going off the deep end" and uses that imagined reality as justification for "the idea you're going to suddenly change some right wing guy who for his own...who can't keep himself together without saying Obama's a socialist...you're not going to do that...that's a deep problem you can't fix."
Dean's comment in the Carnegie Mellon University rant is telling. Should we pretend this is still the 2008 election cycle and forget Obama's list of ideological inspirations are/were mostly socialists? Forget that during the election nothing true of Obama's mentors could be attached to him? Dean is endeavoring to employ this strategy yet again. He's trying to place into question one's sanity if one calls out Obama on this fact. He knows to openly admit being a socialist is to relegate Obama's reelection aspirations to the one term presidential history bin.
I swear I am so sick of their not having the guts to openly admit what it is they want. In general progressives are all about more government regulation; reigning in private business and dictating their profits; redistribution of wealth; green economy even if it breaks us; central planning and direction and plenty of class warfare talk and if that's not socialism I'll kiss your ass in the town square. So who is it who "can't keep [himself] together" there Scream Dean?
Conservatives and the Tea Party have been dead consistent in what we desire but Obama is about as firm in his convictions, intentions and presidential actions as a rubber band. Obama is the quintessential politician in the mold of "say whatever seems to grant one the most approval and popularity regardless of core values." Obama is a socialist and just because he and his sycophancy will not admit it does not change a single fact...NOT ONE!
That non-conservatives do not like conservatism is fine. That they desire a different path is "okay fine" as WKRP salesman Herb Tarlek used to say. But to not have the veracity to admit what they want is typical of leftism. They know to succeed politically one must appear to be close to center-right and socialism is not that in any way.
Still, for an early prediction, Obama will be reelected. Why? For the same nonsensical reasons he was elected in 2008. Deny the facts; play class warfare; mainstream media carrying his water; build a coalition of hopeful fools and make sure to paint the US as a terrible place only Obama and his ideology, whatever it is, can fix. And don't forget if we criticize the black guy we're racists, so there's that.
Then we can enjoy four more years of the exponential highest deficits ever; an exploding and soon unbearable national debt; more efforts at class warfare; more of our president cautioning us to be civil as he calls Tea Party folks "tea baggers" and all the rest we've witnessed since January, 2009. We'll be told to cut government spending will harm the nation. Obama will lend money and celebrate other nation's oil drilling while stalling our own drilling permits being issued; he'll advocate that to enforce immigration laws on the books for years is racist; print money to increase cash moving through the system despite the undeniable evidence it causes massive inflation and of course he'll pay lip service that for anyone to want otherwise is pure evil based on greed.
I think it's time we call progresivism what it is...a disease whose main symptoms are a total lack of honesty; a complete inability to accept facts over wishes and a singular intention to prevail come Hell or high water, the destruction of a nation over the screaming objections of the majority be damned!

Post a CommentNevermind the National Debt - the country is in an Emotional Debt! Cheers, Whip, along with the PVs things have to start looking up soon!
people from both sides argue and run the country into the ground, convervatives and Patriots stand up and do their best to hold the remainder of the country together. Liberals are at war to destroy our country and make their own progressive country. Keep up the good fight against Liberals, Muslim Brotherhood and everybody else who wants to destroy this great nation.
Okay Saul...not that I agree or accept your premise in total, but what is the answer. Surely you have an opinion as to what is good, right, fair and proper. What do you believe? Do nothing is not the answer nor is to use the usual litany of gripes. In all honesty, for all the ugly out there, there must be ideas and concepts. Forget Democrats and Republicans. Do you agree with me that returning us to the Founding terms is the answer in any portion at all? It's long past time to find fault. It's time to fix this crap no matter who's to blame, no? What would you suggest Sir? I sure hope you'll see fit to answer this query. Use as many "comment" boxes as needed. Let's here it Bro.
