The Ripeness of the Melons

Dan Reveal
Steadfast is the seer that stores away thy passionate cloth,
as we cast our net upon the earthly sea.
For now, dear heart, let this gravestone marker be one less thing you have to fear,
as you run to the shadow you thought was me.

Let these vines be stronger than thy perfumed embrace,
as I climb to bring thy ransom flower.
Maybe then would thou pray in the interest of my weakened soul,
that love should grant the way beyond transgression's power.

And if life has not recognized thy love by now,
I'll ne'er feel the nature of thy limitless good.
Let the ripeness of the melons put into words
that which my heart has already understood.

For now, dear heart, let this gravestone marker be one less thing you have to fear.

Let it be one less thing you have to fear.

And if life has not recognized thy love by now,
I'll ne'er feel the nature of thy limitless good.
Let the ripeness of the melons put into words
that which my heart has already understood.
