Around 5% of our tax money goes towards the construction of roads in the United States. Of course this is actually quite a large number, because 5% of a large fraction of what everyone in the United States makes is quite a bit to go towards just one aspect of the economy.
One of the largest problems lately deals with the construction of these roads, and I'm sure you can assume that a lot of people are going to be angry with this issue, because tax payers pay to have these roads constructed, and they also drive on them every day.
Pot holes and poor road construction are becoming very clear issues in several states across the nation, my wonderful state of Michigan, especially.
Michigan has some excessive pothole problems. It's nearly impossible to take a drive down the street in some areas without hitting multiple potholes. Over time, you get used to these and learn to slow down before hitting them.
But isn't having these potholes in the road a major problem? Doesn't having potholes in the street cause a major threat to anyone who drives through that street? Of course they do. So why doesn't the government do anything about this problem?
The government claims to not have enough money to deal with such problems. Local city governments have plenty enough funding to deal with such a problem. It's not going to cost millions to fix a few potholes, use some common sense.
Logic tells me that there are reasons hidden behind closed doors for why cities in the United States aren't dealing with their pothole problems. It could be saving them money, it could really be anything. I But I'm pretty much positive that my city of Grand Rapids, one of the largest cities in my state, has the budget to fix these potholes, which are a major uprising problem in the great Grand Rapids areas.
So will we ever see these potholes get fixed? Probably not. But technically, if you report a pothole to your local facilities, the city government is supposed to have the pothole filled in and completely fixed within a certain time frame. Typically, you'll see results, if you don't, and you requested, I'm pretty sure that you can sue or get something in return.
Just do all you can to deal with the problem at hand, and hope that our wonderful government finally does something about the problem.
