The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale for Extra Comfort

Karen Reams
The Ritz- Carlton, Fort Lauderdale came onto the scene in 2008 and if you want luxury as well as the feeling of coziness then this is the place for you.

Once you have been ushered in to the grand lobby by staff who will never forget your name you, will feel as if you have just boarded an old-time luxury cruise ship. And the reason for this is the 1940s ocean liner-inspired décor.

The undulating curves mimic ocean waves mix with domed chandeliers, water views from all vantage points and murals that have been inspired by the French artist Jean Cocteau.

For a really awe inspiring stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale then be sure to stay in an ocean front guest room. From here you will really feel that you are cruising as all that can be seen from the inside of these rooms are ocean waves.

All in all at this fabulous hotel there are 192 spacious suites and guest rooms each either having a balcony or terrace. The view from each room will either be of the Intracoastal Waterway or the ocean.

As with all the Ritz-Carlton hotels you will find all that you have come to expect such as a state of the art DVD theater entertainment system with a 37 inch LCD panel TV, a 13 inch LCD panel TV in each bathroom (always a favorite with the kids!), one touch technology phones, a mini cellar of refreshments, Bulgari bath amenities and much much more.

If you are a family traveling together then you will probably find the double bedded rooms are just right for you especially the ones on the seventh floor that lead out onto the pool terrace. Another reason why these particular rooms are good is the mere fact that they also have easy access to the poolside café, great for the youngsters.

Directly across from the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale you will find the beach and it is here that the white sands are caressed by clear blue waters.

But what of the guests of the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale?

Well, they will be given access to complimentary beach chairs, towels, bottles water and a whole variety of beach toys. All in all everything that you will require for a family fun day at the beach. Plus, given 24hrs notice the hotel will provide you with a spectacular lunch served in a cooler on wheels.

And should you not wish to go through the lobby or cross the road to get to the beach then you can cross the skywalk that connects the pool deck to the beach.

After the kids have worn themselves out and are back at the hotel then it is time for mom and dad to relax at the 99percent organic spa, enjoy a cocktail at the Lobby bar or have a drink in the exclusive Wine Room which boasts leather furnishings, wine books, a rare Scottish collection and a 5,000 bottle wine collection.

There are various packages available including the Sand and Sea package which starts at $199.
