In each and every of them I got lost - in excitement, longing and unaccountable, almost blind love - but only to be found in the next place, which will thrill my imagination stronger. And it happens with every next one. I believe kids experience the same when seeing a new toy, thinking, that this is the only thing, which they need for now and ever.
In your native country you feel that special longing, but if your soul and mind search for adventures - you can leave it behind quite easily , with one notice: you must know that there's a place that you can call home and the streets that are familiar and dear to your heart are longing to feel your footsteps again.
Together with the clothes and necessary stuff we also put the hopes for a great adventure into the suitcase. New countries, people and language turn out to be a promise for the changes you're looking forward to.
And no delays, uncomfortable seats or snoring neighbours can prevent you from the destination.
Just take no notice of problems you can face - it's all worthwhile suffering; you will feel and see it.
It seems like every place I've been to made such a great impression on me, that travelling can only be compared to a bird, which learnt to fly and just start to explore the world around. And it doesn't really matter how many places I've seen and been to - they are stunning. Unique. All different and unforgettable.
But a country itself rarely leaves many memories in a traveler's mind. It's all about the actions and time spent. Souvenirs and photos reflect the fact of the trip, but the real proof for it is held in your mind. It's made of feelings, smells and tastes.
What can be the better proofs of a journey than smell of freshly baked French bread, taste of Dutch morning on the tip of your tongue, free spirit of Amsterdam in the head or just whatever comes to your mind? You've come through this; you've experienced life and learnt a little bit more about it and its treasures.
Wake up! You're not the one you were yesterday. Now you have a special post, a signature on your heart that you've revealed one more black spot on your life-map.
The roads we take may take thousand and thousand miles. But it's not about the distance or time you spend travelling. It's about the place they will lead you to.
