The "Rock", Dwayne Johnson, is Single

I hated wrestling. My uncles would watch it every Saturday afternoon. I used to laugh at the dumb antics of grown men "playing' in the ring. Then I would laugh at my uncles trying to do those same moves, in the front yard. Each one thinking they were impressing the neighborhood female "fans." It wasn't until 1996, when Rocky Maivia entered the wrestling ring, when those moves weren't so stupid anymore. He was HOT!

Better known as the "Rock", Dwayne Johnson carried himself with confidence and class. He had a way about him that got him noticed. Johnson was in store for bigger and better things. We were all introduced to him on the big screen as the Scorpion King in the movie, "The Mummy." He played that same character in the movie "The Scorpion King." Johnson was in the public's eye. He remains so to this day.

In a statement released to People Magazine, on Friday, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his wife Dany Garcia are splitting up.

"We will continue to advance and manage our business interests, our philanthropic efforts and most importantly the raising of our child together, as a loving team. We've been fortunate enough to spend the last 17 years together as a couple and look forward to spending the rest our lives together as best friends and business partners." People Magazine quoted from the statement.

Johnson, 35, was born in Hayward, California on May 2,1972. A third generation showman, the Rock gained notoriety when he became a professional wrestler. He has lead a very full life.

On IMDb.com his accomplishments read like a who's who. One of his greatest accomplishments is the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation.

The foundation's goal "is to make every child smile." The DJ Rock Foundation does this through various programs. One of them is the Nation Children's Fitness Challenge. The organization wants everyone to be made aware that physical education not only helps curtail child obesity but also builds self esteem and character.

Johnson's portfolio include such films as The Scorpion King, Be Cool, Walking Tall, and The GridIron Gang.

The "Rock" has also appeared on Saturday Night Live, Reno:911, and Star Trek:Voyager.

Johnson met his wife, Dany Garcia when they both attended the University of Miami. Johnson married Garcia on May 3, 1997. They have one daughter, Simone.

Johnson graduated from the University of Miami with 2 degrees. One in criminology and the other in physiology.

Good looks, good acting, and brains. What more could you want?

Know what I hate? Seeing Myspace "celeb imposter" profiles. The Rock has several wannabe pages on there. =p
It's a shame because he would find a lot of fans on there, but probably doesn't even have time to start one!
