The Rock on Interview with Rosa Hayes

Elise Marie
Interview with Rosa Hayes!

Here we go and I hope you all like it......

1. Where did you hear about AC?

I can't remember the exact place that I heard about AC but I know that it was while surfing for an online job that would allow me to write from home and get paid. I am glad that I found it since it has allowed me to pay off a lot of debt and even be able to pay for activities for the children (this is a big plus since I have a total of six).

2. When did you join AC?

I joined AC back in February of 2007. I made my first pay almost a week after I started and have been hooked ever since.

3. Why did you join AC?

Awe, this one is one that I have been asked a zillion times. I joined AC to make money and even though there are a lot of people out there on the internet who claim that AC is a scam, I still say that they are one of the best online companies to work with.

4. What types of articles, poems, stories, etc., do you write about?

I have said it once before and I will say it again. I am a true freelance writer and write about everything under sun. I mostly like writing about marital issues and children issues. I really like writing about ways that you and your spouse can live a happier life and how to teach kids anything such as reading, writing, and even playtime activities.

5. Who are some of your favorite AC Producers?

Wow, way to catch someone off guard. I would have to go with a few of them actually. Some of my favorites but not all of them are The Bearfoot for his witty humor; Momie Tullotes, since we must face that there is someone out there that might know a thing or two about children other than you; Pam Gaulin, she is not only what I call a virtual friend but also someone who puts a lot of thought into her writing; Michelle L Devon (Michy), if you don't know much about writing she is the one to learn from; and Lenora Murdock, Lenora befriended me right after I started on AC and she has taught me a lot and even stuck by me when things got really rough.

6. What do you think AC needs more topics on?

Hum, this is a hard one considering that they have topics on everything. When I first started here they would accept so much stuff and now there are a lot of CPs who complain about their articles getting rejected. They need to understand that AC has been rejecting articles mainly because their content library is filled with a lot of the same stuff. If you want to get your articles accepted then you need to write unique stuff or at least give it a twist.

7. Do you enjoy writing for AC?

Depends on who is listening to me. If it is my husband then he would probably tell you that I am like a light switch; sometimes I love it and other times I would like to give them a virtual smack. All in all I really do enjoy writing for AC but I go through spurts where I will be writing for weeks straight and then when I am on my downside I might go a couple of weeks with only one or two articles written.

8. Do you think you could you could make a full time or part time living on AC?

I am living proof that you can do both. My performance bonus alone pays for most of my car payment and the articles that I write often pays for bills and activities for the kids. I actually bought a big screen television with my AC money one month.

9. How long do you plan on writing for AC?

Well, how long do you think they will be in business?

10. Where do you get your topics for writing?

I know that a lot of people will tell you to write what you know but I am the complete opposite. I don't want to write about something that I have known how to do for a long time. I like doing the research and writing about something that I didn't know but put enough information together to learn it and teach someone else how to do it. I use my family as guinea pigs a lot of times and do experiments such as teaching them to read at a younger age or seeing how my husband reacts to certain things that I do or topics that I bring up just so that I can see if it will work and if it is something that I can write about.

11. Have you ever written for AC's calls for content and if you have did you like it?

I write for the C4C a lot but sometimes they have stuff on there that doesn't interest me or I forget that they are in the queue. I enjoy doing the calls for content on certain subjects but others that I have to dig really deep on can kind of irritate me. I don't mind the research but when they are asking for 10 things on a specific topic and only want to pay you $4, it is kind of ridiculous. I did do one before and others since that were for performance pay only and racked up $30 in four days. By the end of the month I had made a bill payment on that one article.

12. What are some of your best articles, poems, stories, etc., on AC?

Oh, now we are getting into the nitty gritty. I will go ahead and list these for you.

I didn't know that I could be so angry at a person before this took place. Elsie Murguia is one name that I can't forget and my journey through the conviction is one that was unforgettable.

These are only a few but you get the idea. My CP page is filled with informative articles to help in everyday life such as dealing with grief, parenting, marital issues, and other things.

13. What do you like best about AC?

I would have to say most of everything. I especially like the idea of making money while staying home. You would probably be surprised at how much money I save without having to pay for gas or a babysitter. I also enjoy it since I am able to work in my spare time and I get to volunteer at my child's school during the week.

14. What do you like least about AC?

I don't like the idea of others plagiarizing our work or when new Content Producers are nearly ran off by bad comments and ignorant CPs. I was targeted for a long time and someone on the internet was trying to Cyber Bully me but eventually they stopped after I quit playing into their games and started ignoring them.

15. What do you plan on writing about next and why?

Probably something to do with educating children or marital issues since I have gotten into a kick with writing these and I am good at it. I may have not went to college to these subjects but it is something that I am good at and I enjoy it.

16. Last Question! If you had any awesome advice to give to other AC Producers what would it be?

I would have to say that the best advice that I can give is to never give up. You came to AC for a reason and you shouldn't let any other reason stop you. People may not view you as having a job or being a writer but this is exactly what AC has provided you with. If you have trouble finding topics to write about then you should look into your daily life. It has been said over and over that every person has a book within them. I believe this saying since I have proven that my life isn't just a big obstacle but it is my life and one that has many trials and errors. I have probably been through more things in my twenty-three years of life than most people who are twice my age. I don't dwell on self pity but I can tell you from experience that everything in your life is worth writing about.

Thank you for this opportunity to be interviewed by you. I truly enjoyed it and have had a great time telling you about myself and my experience on AC.

Thank you so much Rosa Hayes for doing the interview! Your so cool!
