The New Roomba for Pets is a Great Improvement from the Older Roomba Vacuums

I-Robot Has Made Some Major Improvements

Recently, my Roomba Discovery floor vacuum died for the third and final time. This little wonder has served our household well for several years and despite a few shortcoming and a few internal electronic surgeries that were required to keep it operational, I have been pleased with it overall.

The Roomba is a great time saver and makes an excellent gift if you know of someone who detests the chore of vacuuming as much as I do. The key is to learn to ignore it as it does its chores. Many days I have spent my time watching the robotic vacuum move around rather than going about my business with other things. After it died recently, I found I actually missed it humming around on the carpet.

My wife did not use the Roomba Discovery model very much as she preferred to do the upstairs area with a Kirby sweeper, which while a high quality vacuum just didn't have the charm of the small gray Frisbee for me.

I spent several hours on the Internet reading reviews of the latest advances in Roomba design and settled on a Roomba for Pets model.

This model has many advances over the old Discovery and within 5 days of ordering, it was delivered to my home. After reading through the manual and doing the initial battery charge, the new Roomba was ready to go to work. Several advances stood out quickly. The Roomba for pets is much quieter than the older model vacuum and slows down before bumping into an object. The old Roomba Discovery had a habit of hitting table legs and furniture at full speed, which does make quite a racket at times. The scheduling feature is very nice as you just set the days and the time you want the Roomba to run and forget it. The other nice feature I like with the new model is it does not get caught up in rug fringe and cords like the old Roomba did.

Even my wife, the tried and true Kirby vacuum fan, has taken a shine to the new Roomba for Pets model and I don't hear the roar of the large vacuum through the house anymore.

The Roomba for Pets is well worth the investment as a time saver and keeping the floors clean. Now if I can just stop watching it work.
