The Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton

Greatest Marriage Ceremony of the 21st Century

Mr. Chip's
I was in England in 1981 when HRM Prince Charles wed Miss Diana Spencer. And the day and at that time it so unbelievable the events and ceremony that went along with it. And then even greater was the birth of Prince William and Prince Harry.

Though I am an American born and mostly raised in the USA. I have roots and connections to all the places I have ever lived or traveled to. Great Britain is a big part of my life. I lived in Britain from part of 1979 to 1982. I will not write a book on it right now. Plus you can look at my content to see how much it meant too me. It still does mean a lot to me. Putting aside socio-economic and political differences including my own military involvement in the UK. I am writing this opinion piece as a look back and my observations as only hours tick away as the greatest courtship on this planet is about to begin. The Royal wedding of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton. Being that I am not in Great Britain this time. I am hearing and reading from all kinds of media sources that Americans here in the states are not really caring too much about The Royal Wedding. And in fact I still have many contacts in Britain. Some are British subjects or citizens of Britain some are British Nationals. And some of them are not as excited as I am. Though I'd love to just be in the UK right now. Even if I could not get to London for the ceremony tomorrow. And that leads me to this. It saddened me that some don't care about The Royal wedding both British and Americans. But not for an iota do I think that most of the world mind you( Not just Americans or British) is of that opinion. I consider myself just fortunate and lucky I was able to have been in Great Britain when Prince Charles wed Diana (Princess Diana). And I still believe that more approve of the marriage of Prince William (though he doesn't need that) and are happy for him and The Royal Family. I'll even go farther than that to say that over millions and more will be in attendance at The Royal wedding from all over the world. And not to guess what is in Prince William's mind or or have an inside track on The House of Windsor. But I believe that HRH Prince William and HRH Prince Harry are like their father. Strong Royal Figures, trying to help in the world. And they are if I may Princes of the British people. Listen to them. Of course they are highly educated, very well spoken, perfect gentleman and I could go on and on. They have been that way since their lives began. They will continue in that way. But they are also Princes of the British people. And Princes of the world. As many are aware they also have Royal titles in other countries. They take their duties very seriously. But they also want to show they are sort of regular people also. Though they can never really be that way and I can understand that. Prince William and Prince Harry serve in the military as pilots and commanders. They go to all kinds of functions and for so many causes. They can't work. But if they could I am sure they would. They make mistakes and show they aren't perfect. As was the case when they dressed up in "nazi" uniforms for masquerade party. I am sure they would never do this again. They are young people. And in their Royal place and duties and are learning. They are not afraid to apologize when they are in error. When I see them I think so much of their mother, Princess Diana. She would be so proud of both of them. I saw them when they were born. To draw a parallel they point them in the direction of the Kennedy's. Not all aspects it is not mine to say. But when he was living I see similarities between JFK Jr. and The Princes. JFK Jr. was American royalty. But there were times when you could see the larger than life Mr. Kennedy riding his bike out in public and of course struggling to pass bar in law school. And of course Prince William had his school struggles also. And that is what gives me even more respect. For Prince William and Prince Harry. And how I will be so proud and happy myself when Miss Middleton will perhaps be Princess Catherine. But I am just speculating right now. For now I am happy for all "The Royals" especially for William and Kate with all due respect. I hope Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton don't feel pressure to be perfect or act perfect. Even during the wedding ceremony. As in when Princess Diana had some problems in reciting the vows. Of course both Prince Charles and Princess Diana were both nervous in that 1981 world changing event their Royal wedding. How can we expect for Prince William and his bride to be any different? My wishes are for them to have a blessed, happy, safe, prosperous and long union. May they always stay in love and like. And when it is time for their family I wish a double portion of the aforementioned on them.

HRH Prince William of Wales is younger than his father( HRM Prince Charles was when he married Lady Diana) and his bride Catherine Middleton will be omitting "obey" out of their vows just as did Princess Diana.

It's official Prince William and Kate Middleton are man and wife. They are officially The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. A million people traveled to see the ceremony. Also other official titles for Prince William (The Earl of Strathearn and the Baron Carrickfergus). May God Bless them both.
