This is a kid's poem I wrote for my nephew in 2008
I love my family
but I'm going to run away
I hate it here
I've had a horrible day
They make me eat my supper
'Til I finish, I can not play
I throw fits, and get in trouble
Time outs for acting that way
Well, I've had enough
Their going to have to pay
So I'm heading out
What's that you say?
I can't take my toys?
I guess I'll have to stay

Very nice. Kids always say things like that when they get frustrated with rules.
That was cute and brought back memories of my Bobbie running away from home at age 3 with a doll, a pillow and a blanket. We lived in a circular trailer court at the time and there was an island with tall bushes in the center. She stayed there playing for about 2 hours. We watched now and then from the window and when we seen her coming we went about reading and such and when she came in she said "Did you miss me?" and we said, "why, did you go somewhere?". The look on her face was priceless. She never ran away again as a toddler. A teen is another story....
