The Sad Joke

...On A Sad Clown

Tussy
I

He was once the Under Secretary

Of an agency in his country

He went far away

Due to a Senate Inquiry...

II

If I were him, I'd run to

Where the law is uphold and respected

Not bastardized and prostituted

By lawmakers who are dim-witted...

III

Arrest him, they ordered

In that far country, he was cornered

Stripped of travel papers and jailed

All he can do is wait and wailed...

IV

For years he fought

Justice he sought

The mastermind cut him loose

After the scam was exposed...

V

He has no choice

Return to his country amid the noise

The halls of powers is silent

Waiting for the right moment...

VI

Sick, unpopular, maligned and abandoned

Where were they for whom he coned?

Are they not in power for what he did?

Of what he might say, they seemed unafraid...

VII

Maybe because they really know

The man truly has nothing to show

They left him just holding the bag

With nothing against them he can "tag"...

VIII

So, he now faces the music

Alone, maligned, abandoned and sick

His fate with the Senators

Who think more like actors...

IX

It really is truly tragic

Defying every reason and logic

As to why the "agent" has been arrested

While the "principal" remains unmolested...

This is a good commentary on how "good" seems bad today and "bad" seems "good.
