The Sad State of America

WENDY HAIRE
It has become a sad state in today's economic times. Job losses, lack of jobs, home foreclosures just to name a few. The programs which the governments (state and federal levels) do not help everyone in need. The ones that are in the most need are getting shut out and the government is turning their cheek to what is really going on in our society.

The working class families are the ones who are suffering the most and nothing is being done to stop it. It is the ugly hidden truth of our country. People choose to turn away and ignore the problem instead of taking the bull by the horn. When has it become ok to bail out the large companies who are struggling when the working man is in just as much need? Most of Americans are in the same boat and do not know where to turn or what to do.

The time has come for these American Citizens to raise their voices and be heard. Things have got to change. Something is going to break and it won't be the large companies or the extremely wealthy it will be the every day working families who are going to loose.

If enough voices are heard, if enough people cry out then maybe, just maybe things will change. The bailouts for the large companies have got to stop and the companies that were sent overseas need to be brought home. The problems that our society is facing can be fixed. Not in a day not in a week but it can be fixed and it has to start with the citizens speaking loud enough for Washington to hear the millions of voices across the states. Until that is done things are going to worsen for the average American.

Organized appeals to the government, letters, emails, phone calls. Family, friends, neighbors across the U.S. need to band together to start this change before it is too late. The opportunity is there with a new president and administration and they need to hear the voices of the private citizens, not the corporate companies who go sniveling to the government when they have made yet another bad decision.

Standing united and allowing them to hear the everyday citizen's voices may not help but they will be heard and maybe just maybe a change will be made to help those who are really at need. It angers me to set by and watch these corporate company's have their SPECIAL meetings at exclusive resorts and spend mass money on them and then go crying to the government because they have no funds. I know I worked for one and it did not take me long to figure out the games that they played and I quickly got out of the business. Now I am one of many Americans who are looking for a job which is not their to pay the bills, feed the kids and keep a roof over our head. Things will not change until we speak up and allow our voices to be heard.

You are correct. We must do something about our government officials they are worthless. They do what in there elitist ideas is best for Americas elite. It does not matter which political party the go along with at the time, they are both wrong. America is a great nation but I do not know for how long something has to be done and now. The problem is that politicians for the most part are all lawyers who in my opinion are the lowest most despicable people alive what ever it takes to win the case right or wrong surely they would not do the same thing in office. They leave loopholes in the laws they help write so they benefit not America. Yes we do have to speak up for what is right and good in America.
