Pastor Rick Warren who was the moderator asked the same question to Senator Obama first and later to Senator McCain. Before the forum began, the pastor announced that Senator McCain was left in a "cone of silence". Thus, he will not be able to hear the questions.
What followed after that is a complete charade in my opinion. Questions that should not be asked and have no relation to a presidential election. Since when do we ask our presidents what are there relationship to Jesus Christ and if they have accepted Christianity or not? We have a constitution ladies and gentleman that clearly separates between church and state. Are these just words on paper or do we honor that constitution? Questions like these are simply unconstitutional.
Furthermore, some people actually were impressed with McCain's answers. Has anyone seen McCain perform before? The guy can not answer what did he for lunch without mumbling or giving some sort of wrong information. Yet, when it comes to a very difficult question like "At what point is a baby entitled to human rights?" he fires back immediately with an answer that seems to come from a book. Almost every question he does not take a second to think of a reply and answers quickly. Better yet he even adds a personal story for a personal touch. I have to say I myself was impressed. Then, we find out that senator McCain was never in any cone of silence nor was he in the whole building! The "respected" Senator was still on his way giving him and his whole team time to listen to the questions, find answers, blackberry each other, memorize and even rehearse. The man will clearly do anything to get elected, even cheating on a small forum. This is not new for him since he cheated on his first wife already. I really hope that the Media really investigates this incident because this is a travesty to the political process and media reporting!
Furthermore, I really hope that people can understand that these type of questions and type of forums are geared more toward the conservative crowd and thus Obama's answers would not really please them. People must realize that McCain is a liar and a master deceiver and it appears in his planned answers. Obama however, did take the time to think and come up with an answer.
I am sure the debates will prove to be a more objective and will show the clearer winner which is Barack Obama of course.
