Parking can be a little rough, as its only on the street, but after getting out of your car you're in for a treat. Now keep in mind that they do not have a liquor license (with Sake in the name no less), a fact that is easily remedied by the wine shop a couple of doors down. You can pick up your favorite bottle of wine and give it to your waiter to serve you with, no corking fee or anything, certainly a cheaper solution than buying wine by the glass while you have your dinner.
The menu is fantastic. It has a broad array of sushi and sashimi for those of us who love it. For those who are a little more timid there is a delicious cooked menu, with a wide array of favorites. There is even a menu on the wall literally filled with specials (about fifteen each time I've been in) which should not doubt contain something you'll love.
The ambiance is unobtrusive. It's really just a lot of tables, plainly clad surrounded by nice woodwork and good smells. Minimal decoration and dim lighting create a calm and quieter atmosphere, although sometimes, when its busy, the noise level can certainly escalate.
I have been here many times now, and had several different dishes, sushi, and rolls, and have never been disappointed. The prices are affordable (expect around 15-20 per person), the portions are ample, and the service is excellent. Your waiter may not be the most talkative person in the world, but I have never wanted for anything too long while I have been at the Sake Café.
Note: There is one other location opened in Slingerlands (On New Scotland as Well In Price Chopper Plaza). This one I cannot vouch for. It apparently has the same ownership, but I have never given it a try. To be honest I always shy away from any restaurant in a strip mall.
