Food
The food is one of the best aspects of any fair. The San Diego County Fair does have your standard hot dog or hamburger but surprisingly they offer so much more to the visitor looking to have an enjoyable eating or even drinking experience.
Concert Gourmet Dinner Package
The San Diego County Fair offers a fabulous dinner package if you are attending one of their three concerts. Concert goers will get to eat in the Turf Club and will be given a three course meal prior to the concert. For your main entre, attendees can choose from three dishes. Dinner is served between 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. giving attendees just enough time to get in their seats before the concert begins. Dinner packages are available for the following concerts, Earth, Wind & Fire on June 26th, Paul Anka on June 29th and The Moody Blues on Monday July 2nd.
Beer, Wine and Tequila Tasting
Every day at the San Diego County Fair, visitors can enjoy wine tasting for free at the San Diego Pavilion from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is limited so you have to sign up to guarantee yourself entry. If that doesn't quench your thirst, each Saturday, visitors can taste more wines, tequilas as well as beer between the hours of noon and 5:00 p.m. Visitors can purchase an individual tab which are taken to taste a sample or you may purchase a wristband for $13.00 which has tabs.
