'The Santa Clause'-Themed Holiday Party

This year our movie themed party is "The Santa Clause". Every holiday season we have a themed party. Sometimes they are movie themed and others something as simple as snowflakes or icicles. For our "The Santa Clause" themed party will include everything from Santa's favorite hot chocolate to elaborate decorations to create our own North Pole.

Our "The Santa Clause" themed party will begin before you even enter the house. There will be a Santa, complete with sleigh and reindeer, on the roof and a candy cane lit walk way. The walkway leads to a garland trimmed entrance with red and white lights.

Inside the house the red and white lights continue into the living room which will become a workshop for the little elves. Tables will be set up so that the elves can create a variety of Christmas decorations. Foam picture frames, snow globe ornaments, marshmallow snowmen, and beaded designs are just a few of the choices they will have to create something spectacular in the workshop area.

Into the dining room there will be and endless supply piping hot chocolate with any imaginable topping. There will be a craved ham for sandwiches and a smorgasbord of finger foods to keep everyone feed. There are shaped sugar cookies ready to be iced and gingerbread parts ready to be created into spectacular houses complete with gumdrop trees.

To complete our "The Santa Clause" themed holiday party there will be a Christmas tree in every room. Each one decorated completely different. There is a candy cane tree covered in red and white ornaments completed with a large candy cane on top. In another room there is a NASCAR themed tree to reflect our family's favorite sport. A pencil tree in the dining room covered in cinnamon created ornaments that small absolutely amazing.

The only catch for coming to our "The Santa Clause" themed party is that you must bring a donation for a local charity that we will donate the next day. The parents love this idea because their children willingly clean out their closets and toy boxes to make room for the new toys that Santa will bring and it helps instill the season of giving into a generation that is all about "me".
