There are 11 days left, and is it possible, that Sarah Palin and John McCain are going to bombard the media with a "Let's get to know Sarah" campaign? And if so, would it-could it possibly work? Granted, she is the real "pro life" candidate and that means a lot. Even to the point that many are willing to overlook our views on abortion, not because we've changed positions, but because we are more afraid of the unknown, the unknown being Governor Sarah Palin. But can she convince us; within the next week and a half that she is fit to be the president should something happen to John McCain?
I have to say, that if I'm right about this strategy- I think that the polls might change, fast. In fact, I have to admit that if Sarah Palin can get the country to know her, trust her, and like her, that they might win. I also believe it is the only way they can win.
Does this mean we will see her on Face the Nation and Meet the Press? Meanwhile, things are looking a little bleak on the Obama front. He is facing the allegations that he isn't an American citizen, and it seems that no one really knows the truth regarding these allegations. The lawsuit filed by Hillary Clinton supporter, Philip Berg isn't getting much press, but if that changes could it mean that people will become less trusting of Barack Obama than they are of Sarah Palin?
My gut tells me that we are in for a lot of Palin in the next week; I mean heavy, heavy media interviews, etc. And where will Barack Obama be through all of this? Is he really in Hawaii visiting his grandmother or does he need to take care of these legal issues involved with this lawsuit. People are stating that his birth certificate is forged- it sounds wild, but he isn't here. I am very curious to see how long his campaign will be on hold, because it surely isn't good to leave your campaign in limbo a week and a half before voting.
And I have a confession to make. If Sarah Palin can convince us that she can handle the job, if she convinces me and other Republicans who were ready to jump fence, I think they might win this.

I like your perspective!
One more thing, on the Berg suit - if it any any merit of any kind - John McCain and Sarah Palin would be shouting about it from the rooftops. John McCain would never be silent about a non-American citizen running for President. And frankly, neither would the Democratic Party - or Hillary Clinton. If there were chinks in Obama's right to serve Hillary would have laid them bare. The Berg suit is like the Manchurian candidate rumors - another silly conspiracy theory.
A good article Charissa - but the Philip Berg thing is yet another frivolous lawsuit by this guy. He also sued President Bush for the so-called "9/11" conspiracy. I have noted Sarah Palin speaking out more in recent days, although I wasn't impressed with what she said to Brian Williams - that her time as Mayor of Wasilla gave her 'executive experience' that Barack Obama lacks( being a senator representing 12.8 million people and and 8 year state senator representing more than 125,000) . She needs to broaden the spectrum of what she talks about beyond the insular world of Alaska - as it is VERY different than other states. She also needs to get off the basic talking points and really describe policies and processes. Intelligence and leadership are good surrogates for actual experience and she needs to tell people exactly how she possesses those qualities.
Good article. I like her, but don't see enough of her either. I thought that it was brilliant that she was on Sat. Night live. and McCain on letterman. It made them more human. Those that have their heart set in stone for Obama of course criticize, but what the heck. The lawsuit really bothers me the most against Obama. There are literally teams of lawyers that he has for his defense, when all he really needs is to show the birth certificate. McCain did. The Republicans aren't using this enough in the election. If you or I told the court, "I posted the info you wanted on my website" They'd throw us in jail. Very objective article. Thanks.
