The Scariest Movie of All Time

David Marsh
By and large the scariest movie of all time, and probably the best film of its genre in these modern days is THE DESCENT.

The film is about a group of adventure seeking women who descend into a cave in the Appalachian Mountains. What they find in the cave is a mix of psychological and physical horrors. I won't get into the details because you really need to just watch the movie. But cuddle up with someone, because it gets jumpy.

I first watched this film while I was working for a movie theater as a projectionist. I built the film (spliced the reels of film strip together) and then watched it by myself in the theater to check for errors. I was too scared to go turn the movie off, and I really had to build up the courage to leave the building and drive home.

I watched it again with my wife and she didn't sleep for several days after.

Not only is The Descent a scary movie, but it is well made-returning to the quality of thrillers that Hitchcock gave to us.

Rent it this weekend and enjoy!
