Many people have a fitness goal of building mega muscle mass but don't know the proper way of going about it safely and productively. There is no magic muscle mass formula out there that will give you massive pectorals and biceps without the work. Sure, there are weight gain formulas, but these must be used with a sensible diet and weight training program to have a significant effect.

The key to gaining mega mass is in first understanding the body's structure and genetics. There are some that can lift rather effortlessly and pack on the muscle due to gifted genetics. Then there are others who lift tirelessly and can't seem to gain the mass they desire.

The first concept that must be understood in packing on the mass is you have to eat, eat, and eat again. A lot of protein for muscle growth and plenty of carbohydrates for energy are needed. A minimum of 3500 to 5000 calories daily is recommended with a lot of weight training to help you reach your goal. This is healthy food, not 3500 junk calories. Menus have to be planned out and followed meticulously to be beneficial.

Eating a minimum 3500 calories can be a bad thing if you don't work hard at pushing the weights. True, you will gain mass, but it will not be the muscle mass you intended. A rigid mass building weight training program is a must! You will need to lift three to five sets of one to five repetitions each with heavy, heavy weights. You may do up to eight repetitions every few weeks for strength and endurance, as well. Hiring a personal trainer or having a strong workout partner is absolutely necessary to advance because you will need to be pushed to the limit and many times that means forced repetitions.

Supplementation is also an important constant in gaining muscle mass. A multivitamin daily at a minimum, protein shakes, and power bars can add that extra element needed to push your muscles to grow. Steer clear of steroids, any type of injections, and anything that sounds too good to be true. Remember, you have to live with your kidneys and heart forever. Do not destroy them over careless actions.

A personal trainer is perhaps the most important element in muscle gain. You cannot and will not gain mass unless you push yourself to the next level. In addition, using improper form with heavy weights can be a deadly combination on your joints and bones. A personal trainer will push you and can speed up the process because of his/her expertise. Remember, it is never just about lifting weights. There are so many different factors that play an important role in your training and progress. Unless you have the education and expertise, you will not be able to benefit from the many things that you could benefit with when you hire a personal trainer to manage your program.

If you decide to build mega mass, remember this will not be an easy program. You will be sore and tired for a long time and you may also get moody. In addition, you will have to get used to eating all the time and watching what goes into your mouth. Building mega mass takes discipline and dedication and there is no shortcut. However, once the goal is reached, through hard work and dedication, the satisfaction of knowing you reached a difficult goal will be a reward in itself.
