Which Hollywood celebrities and star athletes dished out the most cash for charities in 2010? While the usual names like Oprah, Sonny Bono, and Bill Gates obviously top the list of charitable celebs, you might be surprised to find out who else doled out some serious cash for good causes in 2010.

Oprah
Of course, no list of charitable celebrities will be complete without mention the Queen of Talk and the Queen of Charity, Ms. Oprah Winfrey, who, to date, has given millions of dollars for numerous charities around the globe. Oprah has helped children from Africa to New Jersey, and continues to provide hope through financial support and the "Oprah Bump" each and every year.

Sandra Bullock
Yes, while publicly dealing with embarrassment after a messy breakup, the talented actress aided in numerous charities this year, including helping victims of the Nashville flood and helping rebuild a school in the Hurricane Katrina flood zone. Let's hope that this generous lady finds new love in 2011 to match her charitable heart in 2010.

George Clooney
After the devastating earthquake in Haiti left tens of thousands of Haitians homeless, sick, and dying, Clooney stepped in with a "Hope for Haiti" fundraiser. His broadcast raised over $50 million for the struggling island community, bringing awareness for our close hurting neighbor at their greatest time of need.

Matt Damon and Brad Pitt
Both male celebrity powerhouses have dedicated a significant portion of their time and resources to charities helping impoverished areas throughout the globe. Damon's charity, Water.org, helps bring clean water to Third World nations while Pitt brings green eco-friendliness to New Orleans. Both celebrities made significant contributions of time and resources through their respective charities in 2010, proving that leading men also need to be leaders.

Lady Gaga
Touted as one of 2010's most charitable celebrities, Lady Gaga has lent her face and her support for AIDS and HIV victims worldwide.

Alicia Keyes and Taylor Swift
These two lovely ladies of song don't just make beautiful music, they make change in the world. According to Fame Magazine, Keyes and her husband have adopted a South African village, with plans to support educational resources and practical needs like food and water in 2011. Swift gave over $500,000 of her own finances to the Nashville flood in 2010, proving that just because you are young and famous doesn't mean you have to be self-centered and selfish.
