The Scott Peterson Blog; How Lacy Peterson's Family Can Seek Help

Rosa Hayes
Scott Peterson, who has been made famous for the crime against his wife after he was found guilty of killing her, now has a blog. Canadians Against the Death Penalty has provided this blog for Scott Peterson in hopes that it will eventually change the law for the death penalty, according to Scott Peterson's blog and the CCADP.

Scott Peterson was convicted of killing Laci Peterson, his pregnant wife. Laci Peterson, who was 8 months pregnant at the time of her death in 2003, was found only a few miles from where Scott Peterson said that he was fishing. The baby, Connor, was found the day after on April 14, 2003. In 2005, a jury convicted Scott Peterson and sentenced him to death by lethal injection and he now awaits the death penalty in the San Quentin state prison, accoding to Wikipedia.

I can't say that I know what the family is going through since this murder was a lot different than the one that I had suffered through when my son died, but I can give the family of Laci Peterson advice as to how to deal with the media attention that this case is still receiving.

Maintaining his innocence

It is hard when the person that you believe has killed your loved one still states that they are innocent. One thing that you should keep in mind is that we have some of the best technology and not many people are exonerated for committing a murder. Those few people who are exonerated from the death penalty are usually from a case of long ago since we didn't have the technology that we have now. My dad works as a Correctional Officer in Arizona and has been a Correctional Officer for many years and he hasn't seen or heard of too many people getting out for a murder like this. There are many people like Scott Peterson who will remain their innocence for hope that they will eventually get out but once the jury reaches a verdict and they are sentenced the chances of them getting out is slim.

The Scott Peterson blog

The job of the CCADP is to paint a pretty picture for everyone to see. The blog for Scott Peterson must be hard for the family to view. This blog is donated by Canadians in hope that the death penalty will be abolished. Many people would agree that the death penalty needs to be abolished, but those who have been through a similar crime would disagree because they lost a dear loved one, too.

If the blog bothers you, just ignore it. I know that ignoring the Scott Peterson blog is going to be hard to do, but sitting their staring at it won't make it go away.

Support Groups for Victim's Rights

I joined a support group for victim's rights after my son was killed, and one year to the date of his funeral, a new law had passed in his name known as the Gaje Florence Act. Support Groups for Victim's Rights can help you to understand the law and even help to walk you through getting more laws changed to make sure that people like Scott Peterson who has been convicted and sentenced to the death penalty will never be able to get out.

Keep doing what you are doing

The Laci Peterson website is a great way to keep her memory alive. I started one for my son, Gaje Florence, I it is a great part of the healing. I don't believe that a person ever really heals but it helps to keep them alive through their memories.

Even though Scott Peterson has been sentenced for a while now, the hurt probably still remains. They say that when someone dies at the hands of someone you know, it is even harder on the family than what it would have been if it was done by a stranger.

My prayers are with the family and the Scott Peterson Blog doesn't make a bit of difference if he was indeed guilty.

I see things have not changed. There was not one shred of proof that SP killed his wife. he looked wrong, he smiled, he walked funny, that has nothing to do with if he killed his wife or not. For his wife to disappear on Xmas and reappear killed on Easter well, that was the grand show of all. Many shiped searched that Bay, no Laci.
I hope someday if it not one of your loved ones who are put intot he system
on a I think he did so lets get him attitude. Name one shred of proof,in one sentence he is a sociopath and the other a complete dunce who was lucky have have Laci I which by the way was the other way around) BUt he could commit the perfect crime. Wake up folks..

NO PROOF? You have to be the only other pen pal he has besides that former juror thats probably writing a book. Revisit the case and read up on it. Sure glad you weren't on the jury.

Isn't it interesting how Laci and Connor's bodies surfaced. Looks like God decided Scott would not get away with it.

I remember thinking at the time of the crime, Lacy was a real catch for Scott...he must have felt inferior; it doesn't seem he ever amounted to much in his life, just thinkin' he was a playa and he even sucked at that, ha ha Scott you stupid maggot, how'd that go for ya?

The first time my husband and I saw Scott Peterson was in the command post for the search of Laci and Conner. I sat in disbelief as he greeted and spoke with people smiling from ear to ear and sometimes laughing. I thought, this man acts like he is at a fund raiser or something, but there is nothing in his manner AT ALL that looks like he is terrified because his wife and baby are missing. From then on we watched him to see if there were any reaction of his heart breaking and we never one. May God have mercyon his soul...

I agree with exactly what you say regarding the main concern by anyone in his family that really cares for him. That is the next life. God does see all. But sadly Mr. Peterson will never repent and the consequence is hell. His family are also guilty of enabling and the condenation. Mr. Peterson actions, deception, lies, arrogance and belief that he does not have to fess up is another reason that he must never be allowed out. He is a danger. His actions are evil and he will never repent. People don't understand people like this so they sometimes are in denial wanting to believe differantly. Believe me I know. When you get close to someone that evil it is chilling. Especially when someone murders their own child. You have to understand by looking at other psychopaths that they will never have remorse....ever. They are already ordered to hell.
