She wore a smile
like a mannequins face
A rose in her hair
and a stlyle, full of grace
Secrets she hid
disguised with her words
But her eyes....
Spoke such excruciating hurt
No one could see
until now
That she is gone....

There's amazing people hidden behind the faces they put to the world. Absolutely touching poem. You are a tribute to the poetry world.
Don't know how the word "Style" was spelled "Stlyle"...:)
Great work. Very touching~!
GOSH ya girl I'M CRYING AGAIN!
The picture amazingly goes with your sweet poetry here
That only after it was the saddness through her eyes a story
would be
after it was too late so sad this
be for me
she wore a smile like a mannequins face
you, my friend, are a gem! this is so sad, yet true. i may just lose sleep, thinking of these words you have written. (gee, thanks.) love your work, lady!
Cathie, this is a very poignant piece. Every voice given to girls like the one in your poem, adds to the strength of those *still here* to stand up for themselves as the special and completely original and valid and valuable people they are, and gives solidarity to those of us who are bonded by similar strife, and yet tend to stand alone in our micro-environments.
You'll have done some good for somebody with these words.
Oh my, what a touching poem
i like this one. It's So. Sad but Good.
