The Secret to Bowl Pickem Success

It is official. To win or even be somewhat successful in a bowl pickem fantasy game I believe you have to be on an illegal substance that alters the mind. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way advocating the use of illegal substances but you have to be using them or be legally insane to come even close on bowl pickems. Each year there are anywhere from 6-10 bowl games that I would consider somewhat no brainers, at least as far as bowl season is concerned. Each year only half of my no brainer choices turn out right for me. Fresno State vs. Wyoming was a no brainer. If you looked at the percentage of people picking Fresno in bowl pickem games the number was around 90% and for good reason. The smart people in Vegas has Fresno pegged as a 10 point favorite. Wyoming should not have been able to stop Ryan Matthews and Fresno should have won in a fairly easy game. I mean ESPN forgot that Wyoming even played a bowl game in 2004 (see my earlier blogs). That is how insignificant this football team is (Wyoming does deserve a little credit, I am simply trying to make a point). We are currently 3 games in to this bowl season and most normal peoples bowl pickems are already completely messed up thanks to the Wyoming victory. I will repeat - if you win a bowl pickem get ready to go to jail or the funny house because without one or the other you will languish in last place with me each year.
