The Secret of Easy Weight Loss

Ralston Heath
We all are looking for an easy solution to our weight loss problem. There are many weight loss programs and plans out there; the trick is finding one that works for you. As in all things personal, there is no one size fits all; you must simply find what plan will help you to lose weight.

This is why so many of us have tried and failed at so many weight loss plans, because it does not fit who we are. I have a confession to make; I love cheeseburgers. To be forced to give up my cheeseburgers was just too much of a sacrifice, to great of a challenge, so I found a way to keep my cheeseburgers and still lose weight.

Timing is everything

When you eat determines where the calories go. One of the most dangerous times to eat is just before going to bed. All those calories are going to be converted to fat and stored somewhere on your body. While eating breakfast resultas in most of those calories getting burned off by the activities you perform during the day.

So for those of us with a cheeseburger addiction the best time to eat them is lunch. This way the majority of those calories are used up before we even get home. Then for supper eat the low fat stuff that all weight loss plans suggest we eat all the time.

Set your goal

Losing weight is a lifestyle change, and as with any change, we must set a goal and then work towards accomplishing it. As we learn new and better ways to eat right and get more active we get used to these things and they become a part of our life.

As our lifestyle changes so does our weight, we will see weight loss and will be happy about our new self. Our lives will improve, and our quality of life will be much better.

Break the goal into smaller goals.

After you have spoken with your doctor to find out what a person your height should ideally weigh, you can simply subtract what you weigh now and what you should weigh and this will be your weight loss goal. Let us just use for an example 100 pounds.

That seems like a lot, a daunting task to say the least. I would be a bit put off by that, but you might be tougher than me and think that it is doable.

The trick is to not try to lose 100 pounds overnight.

The main goal is to lose the 100, but we can do it by losing one pound at a time. So we set out with a large goal, and break it down into smaller and easier goals. First, we stop eating at bedtime, of course, we will not wake up the next morning with the body of a supermodel, but we will feel good about ourselves, as we have taken the first step.

Then we continue with our weight loss plan, one day at a time, and one pound at a time. Then a few months from now, we realize we did it, we met our weight loss goal, and we can be proud of ourselves, something that no one can take from us.

Be Blessed
