The Secret to Having Beautiful Hair All Year Round

Jason Ward
As you look at the title of this article, you might think: "Yeah yeah, another Granny's remedy or expensive beauty product."
Well no! I'm happy to introduce a new life-changing method of having healthy hair and scalp without having to buy a thing, and one that will probably shatter all the ideas of what you have ever been told to do about long standing hair problems.

Do you find that no matter how often you wash your hair it stays greasy and gross? Or have you been using all sorts of oils, shampoos, conditioners but your hair remains dry, brittle, straw-like or poofs up continually? Do you have itchy or flaky scalp and it just seems that every time you wash it with that special expensive "head and shoulders" treatment it just comes back twice as bad?

If you are brave enough to take it, I have just the remedy for you...STOP WASHING YOUR HAIR!! No this is not a prank. It's not the lazy way out of hair trouble or the crazy rantings of a depressed individual. This is the life-changing method that I have personally put into use. And before you say "well it might have worked for you but what if it won't work for me?" let me counter that by saying that I have got all the girls I know on the treatment and not one has regretted it.

Now, what I mean by "Don't wash your Hair" I don't mean leaving it till it turns to grimy dread locks. What I mean is: stop using Shampoo! Yes, you see right. Shampoo is beautiful hair killer number one in our society. Let me explain: It's clinically proven that people who wash their hands with soaps or anti-bacterial products too often, actually end up with more skin diseases on their hands then the person who opts to use the disinfectant less and rather rinses with water whenever they feel they should. The reason for this is that our skin has a protective layer of natural oils that get burned off when we use soap or disinfectant too often, therefore leaving bacteria to gnaw directly at your skin when they come in contact with it. I'm not saying never to use soap, but living in third world countries a lot we had to learn these hygiene tricks, and woe to the one who doesn't listen because you don't want to know what kind of skin diseases you can catch ....
So by all means wash with soap and disinfect your hands , but don't overdo obsessively. Your obsession with cleanliness might be your downfall.

Back to the Hair subject. It works exactly the same. Your body secretes natural oils that balance the needs of your scalp and hair.( A healthy diet always helps of course). When you use shampoo, it cleanses out the dirt, sure, but it also washes out all the natural oils that are trying to feed your scalp and hair and bring back to it it's natural balance. The other thing is: you've been using shampoo all your life. Because of it your hair is addicted and will automatically go wrong when you skip washing it by either secreting too much oils, flaking, itching and a lot more.
So how do you get it back to it's normal self, which is, trust me, more beautiful than you can imagine at the moment? Well, first of all you need to cut the addiction.

That takes me to the how to. Beauty comes with a price, and when you first start out it ain't as pretty as you might have thought. Your hair will get worse...before it gets better. But thats where you have to show faith in nature, that all will eventually even out and find it's natural balance. The truth of the matter is that, depending on what your hair type is, the whole process will take 3 to 5 weeks. Your hair will get oily, flaky and oh so itchy. But Whatever you do, DON'T GIVE UP!

Here is a list of things you can do to make the painful transition less painful and help your hair find its balance:

1- Rinse your hair with hot water as often as possible. Everyday if you need to. Rinse it long and well using a comb under the water if possible and massaging your scalp for at least a couple minutes every time.

2- Your hair won't look it's best for awhile so in order to still look presentable don't wear it down. Tight buns, french braids and combing your hair from the forehead to the back rather then parting it are the best methods and can actually fool the people around you that your hair is doing just fine (even though you feel like you've got all kinds of gross stuff happening up there) You can also wear thick hair-bands or scarfs that will cover a large part of your head if you like them.

3- Comb your hair gently from top all the way to the bottom a couple times a day. This helps distribute the oils from the root to the tip that are often split ends.It can actually repair your split ends without you having to get a hair cut.

4- You can use a drop ( and by that I mean a very small amount, barely enough to foam) of shampoo or conditioner once every 10 days or 2 weeks just to help the dirt that the hair might have encountered in the last period of time. If you feel you can skip this, by all means do as its the best, but in case you've been swimming in the ocean or the pool and your hair feels dry it can feel relieving to use that drop. (Not more than once every 10 days to 2 weeks though)

5- DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T GIVE UP!

Once you've past that difficult stage here is what the results will be:

- Longer, healthier, shinier hair from roots to tip.
- Reduced or no more split ends.
- Hair that is full but doesn't poof/managable hair
- No more dandruff or flaky scalp
- No more oily or smelly hair
- No more dry, brittle hair
- Never buy expensive hair products again, or any kind for that matter. You are delivered from the shampoo addiction.

All your hair needs of you now is that you faithfully brush it and rinse it with water once to twice a week. What you will find is that even if you go out to a pub or club and you come back with the smoke smell in your hair that usually takes three washes to get out, all you will have to do is a good rinse, dry and comb and the smell will be gone: your natural oils neutralize smell in your hair.

If you try this you will not regret it. None of us who've tried it has...

Something to think about, Jason as I am a stylist. Too many people think they have to spend dollars for best results and this is not so. I use hydrating shampoo from the Dollar Store with very good results, even cutting out the conditioner which I had to have with the natural curl. A drop of shampoo as you explain is plenty as it cleans...lots of lather is the waste of using too much.

Maybe this is why everyone tells me what pretty hair I have as I do not shampoo daily or even weekly. I sonetimes tqake a washcloth to go over my hair if it has been exposed to things such as smoke.

    Good thoughts you have!!
