"The Secret" is a feature length documentary of the secret of life. It is said that this secret is the secret to everything: to the perfect happiness, the perfect job, the perfect spouse, the perfect life. Whatever you want.
The Law of Attraction.
In the film, the world's leading scientists, authors, and philosophers discuss and describe the Law of Attraction, faithfully known as "the Secret." They give amazing stories of miraculous healing, completely changing one's life around, and how to better yourself. All by changing the way you think.
As a whole, the movie was pretty decent. But the movie as a movie, however, could have been handled a bit better. The movie switches from re-enacted stories to interviews with many different people. This was a good idea because it kept the watcher from getting bored. The acting was second-hand: much like you'd find in any documentary, but it was by no means terrible. As a film, it was fairly smooth with a little glitches here and there.
But the film as in the actual message was... wow. I have never seen a more awe-inspiring movie than this one. Whether or not the Secret actually works depends on each personal opinion, however, the film not only teaches you what the Secret is, but how to use it in every day life -- from relationships to money. This movie seems to send out a message of hope. It seems to say that life doesn't have to be dark and dreary -- that you can have anything and everything you want. Anything is possible. All you have to do is believe.
I would recommend this movie to those that have an open mind and want to change the way they live. At first, this movie will seem extremely strange, but that doesn't mean that "the Secret" is impossible. It is somewhat more on the spiritual side and does not stray too far into the religious grounds. It would be a satisfying movie for the spiritually and intellectually curious.
So the only question you need to ask yourself is: Am I happy with my life as of right now. If not, I'd recommend a healthy dose of the Secret.
