Dr. Robert Young gives us this advice in his book, "The PH Miracle":
"Your health depends on an alkaline environment, created by eating foods such as tomatoes, avocados and green vegetables...striking the optimum 80/20 balance and regulating your body's acid/alkaline chemistry through simple changes in diet can result in weight loss, increased stamina and strength, a stronger immune system and a greater sense of wellbeing."
What exactly is eating alkaline? Nearly all vegetables are alkaline, and some fruits are too. To be considered an alkaline food it must leave an alkaline or mineral ash when burned during digestion. If the food breaks down and leaves an acid residue, then it is considered an acid food. Acid foods are the ones that rob our bodies of health, energy, fitness, clear mind, slim physique, positive thoughts and an overall happy life. It has been proven that when the body fluids or terrain that surround the cells and organs, are alkaline, the cells exhibit an organized pattern, function properly and live a complete and useful life. When the terrain turns acidic, just the opposite takes place. Since we are made up of trillions of cells, their state of being determines our physical experience, and thus our health.
To change your terrain and experience weight reduction, health, energy, radiant skin and other benefits I suggest you consider implementing the following steps.
1. Eat only pure whole fresh foods, read the labels, if they list chemicals, preservatives or other non food ingredients, do not eat them. Never eat canned foods.
2. Eat only ORGANIC. If you are unaware of the dangers of GMO foods, take time and watch this informative video that explains what they are and how consumption of GMO foods can permanently harm your body.
3. Start adding in fresh GREEN foods and seaweeds to your diet, and eliminating acid forming foods. See the acid / alkaline food chart to learn the difference.
4. Drink alkaline water from a well made alkalizing / ionizing machine. The one I use is from High Tech Health. You should be drinking at least 8, 8oz glasses of pure room temperature, alkaline water every day.
5. Make fresh organic green vegetable juices as often as possible. Consume them immediately as their nutrient content starts to drop within 15 minutes of juicing.
6. Commitment to adding into your diet at least ONE serving of any of these superfoods every day. Rotate, try them all to see which ones are the best for you.

7. Add proteolytic enzymes in between meals. These help clean up any undigested proteins in the intestinal tract and blood stream and aid in reducing inflammation.
8. Include EM's, a good probiotic, or fresh made fermented food in your diet daily to aid digestion. They also help balance and maintain the bacteria that produce B vitamins, boost immune response and fight stress. These "good bacteria " control the overpopulation from yeast, mold, parasites and fungus which is the underlying cause of most disease and thrive in an ACIDIC environment.
9. Take a warm bath with sea salt or Himalayan salt, essential oils and soothing music at least once a week.
10. Progress not perfection. Slow and persistent progress and implementation of these principals will yield great results. If you experience any minor headaches, upset stomach, nausea, tiredness, or pimple outbreaks, congratulations!! These are the common signs of detoxing. Just slow down a little, drink more pure water, get a colonic and take a nap or warm bath to give your body a chance to clear and flush out the toxins that have been released.
Now that you have gained some understanding of what it means to alkalize your body and life, start practicing. Start slow, remain steadily persistent, and in several months you will build yourself a healthy, joyous alkaline body!
