Sensations are momentary, while sentiments can last for a long time. When we feel something, it is know as a sensation. For a period of time, our senses experience a certain feeling. These feelings tend to pass after a span of time has gone by. Our sentiments on the other hand last for a long time because we grasp them tightly. When a person has hatred in his mind, he feels like getting back at someone for causing this feeling. Until the person who caused hatred apologizes or is forgiven, hatred is still present and may last for a long period of time. When two people are in love, they have this special bond between each other which keeps them together. They both enjoy each others presence and this keeps them united. Relationships last for years.
