The New Series In Plain Sight: A Review

In Plain Sight is a very great TV show. I have always loved watching cop shows and this one is one of my favorites. I have watched it from the beginning and have not missed a single episode. I am here to brief those who have not seen this show. I will give some background on the series and the idea behind it. I will discuss who the actors are and what their characters do in this series.

I will first start with the background of this series. The show In Plain Sight is about U.S. Marshals that work for the Federal Witness Protection Program and is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The main idea is that these Marshals have been given witnesses that have been placed in the Federal Witness Protection Program and give them a new identity. Their goal is to protect these witnesses from those who may be looking for them.

As for characters, I feel that Mary McCormack is a very good actress. She plays as Mary Shannon and is one of the main characters of this TV show. She does very good at play the part as a hard working woman who tries to help take care of her alcoholic mother and trouble maker sister. I will talk about them later. She also is very devoted to her job and tends to make her work first priority. I like her a lot because she shows that women can do beyond what we are 'supposed to be able to do.'

The other main character in this series is Frederick Weller who plays as Marshal. He is Mary's partner. He reminds me of a smart geek who can kick some butt. I like the way he talks, his voice has a very mellow tone. He is a very reliable and loyal friend and partner to Mary.

Paul Ben-Victor (Stan) plays the part of Mary and Marshal's boss. He is the ideal boss because he stands by his team and is nice. He does not yell at anyone. He actually is more sensitive than most bosses and sometimes I wonder who has control of the office, him or Mary.

Lesley Ann Warren plays as Mary's mother, in the show her name is Jinx Shannon. She is not the normal mother and being an alcoholic was more of a pain for Mary. However, throughout one of the episodes Jinx ended up having to go into rehab for her alcoholism. Now she is trying to become a better mother for Mary and her sister.

Nichol Hiltz plays as Maries sister, her name in the show is Brandi Shannon. She is a bit of an airhead to me. I do like her though in the show. As with all the other characters in the show, she played her part very well. Throughout the first and now the second season, an FBI agent tries to pin her with a drug trafficking, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, and a few other federal offenses. However, Mary, being her clever self, was able to help get her out of it. Now Brandi is trying to not repeat the same mistake and is going to college to try to make changes in her life.

Cristian de la Fuente (Raphael) is Mary's boyfriend who seems to just hang around. He is very kind and stands right next to Mary and her family. He even does Mary's laundry. I wish I had a man do my laundry for me. Anyways, he does not show up in the show much. However, he plays a crucial role in Mary's life. I cannot wait until they decide to get married.

Well this concludes my review on this series. Try it, you might find that you will want to watch it. If you do not have time then get a VCR or DVR to record the show. Well have fun checking this show out.
