The Seven Deadly Sins - Lust

If I was to admit guilt to any of the seven deadly sins, I must unfortunately confess those associated with lust. After all, according to Aristotle, "man is by nature a social animal." I find it rather satisfying, but similarly disturbing, that I initially acknowledge the female physical appearance before otherwise concerning additional reactions. Lust is defined as a strong desire for something, typically that of which remains forbidden or not rightfully possessed. It correspondingly relates to the sin of envy in the sense that both are covetousness. But on the contrary, lust inherently consists of sexual desires.

"And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon...."

In the Book of Romans, it depicts how God provided sexual appetites to the people before the flood. Of course, genders became fascinated in sexual explorations with one another, and eventually those experiments were practiced among similar genders. However, 1 John 2: 16 says "For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world." Either I have misinterpreted the two, or a conniving contradiction is present. Regardless, and to reinitiate the respective topic, to lust or covet is to indeed commit sin against God.

To remedy the problems associated with lust, one must be entirely content. To refer to lust as simply sexual desires leaves one vulnerable to deception. By limiting the sin to its sexual nature, an individual may be susceptible to further evil in the form of power or other possessions. Throughout the world, lust is committed. Radio, television, and literature constantly recreate visions in the form of sexual desire, power & money hungry villains, jealous narratives, and immoral business practices. However, for those interested, sexual activities are not entirely limited. In fact, men, Leviticus informs us that masturbation is not prohibited as long as you purify yourself afterwards...
